As part of our class topic ‘How do we travel to work?’, we put learning into action with a real bus journey! We bought return tickets to Bargoed, explored local businesses & the library! Followed by a well deserved ice cream break!
A fun way to learn about our community! 🚌☕️💇♀️📕

Nursery and Reception enjoyed taking part in lots of pancake themed activities today. #ShroveTuesday @PPS_Draig @Phip_Primary
The children did an amazing job chopping fruit to add to their pancakes!
Followed by independent writing in our writing area..
Happy Pancake Day! 🥞 🍌 🍓 🍯 🍫 #DosbarthSeren
Dosbarth Seren had an amazing time at @LaneRole , exploring different jobs connected to our topic! Huge thanks to the staff for our extra activities and a day full of fun😆✨

#DosbarthEira had fun using different drama techniques to help them better understand their class text’s characters! 🎭 We used freeze-framing & hot-seating, making observational notes & reflections. Da iawn Dosbarth Eira! 👏
Our class elf Elvis very kindly posted our letters to Santa! We hope he replies😆🤞🎅🏼✨

It was lovely to see the community coming together for Remembrance Day. So proud of the children for representing the school so well. @Phip_Primary
#DosbarthEira have been busy this first week back after half term! They’ve been recording, researching, discovering, measuring … and more! Take a look at some of our tasks… @EAS_LLCEnglish @EAS_Numeracy 🗣💬🎥✏️📖📏😄
Our school’s digital pupil council, I-Tech, have been upskilling each other with their coding skills so that they can go into classes & teach others how to code using the BBC Microbits! 👾 @EAS_STEM @EAS_Digital Watch this space to see how their lessons go! 👩🏼🏫👨🏻🏫
#DDB had lots of fun creating these amazing Rangoli patterns to celebrate Diwali
Yesterday we celebrated #ShwmaeSu’mae day by wearing coch 🔴, reading Welsh books 📖, decorating biscuits 🍪, recording ourselves saying Welsh biographies 🗣 and doing all things Welsh! 🏴 #DosbarthEira
#DosbarthEira worked hard this morning to build on their prior knowledge of biographies and to improve ‘boring’ sentence starters! Da iawn pawb! 🗣💬✍️
Pt2: more photos from #DosbarthEira’s outdoor learning yesterday. We had loads of fun learning outside & using the natural materials around us. 🍃🍁✏️😄
Pt1: #DosbarthEira made the most of the autumn sunshine yesterday & took their learning outside. We sketched pictures of Martin Luther King Jr & then used natural materials to decorate/colour our pictures. The results were excellent! Very creative contributors ✏️🍁🍃
