This is insane. The Taiwanese government is paying farmers to NOT grow rice because they need the water for AI chip manufacturing instead. We're prioritizing AI over feeding people during a drought.
Taiwanese farmers were forced to grow less rice because the AI chip manufacturer needed water.

TBH, this seems worse than having the road blocked by climate activists for a few minutes, much less talk about doing so on a Zoom call.

Big Oil is asking the Supreme Court to block climate change lawsuits.
Right now dozens of major lawsuits are trying to hold the fossil fuel industry liable for billions in climate damages.
But oil execs are asking the Court to "put a stop" to them.

People keep asking me how to prevent the water stuff in the US West or other climate collapse issues. Folks, I have no idea. I've thought about it from every angle I could think of for years and I don't see a way to prevent disaster. I do have some thoughts about survival though.

Celebrity award shows are integral to upholding structural oppression. I recognize it more now than I did in the past.
It’s felt particularly Hunger Games-y this year so I think that’s why.
But the shows themselves really serve to normalize & reinforce structural oppression 1/

The median US rent is $1967. Which means the median US hourly pay which would be considered livable (1/3 of rent) should be $35.40
The current US median hourly pay is… $17.02
Society will never be “okay” until this is fixed. It’ll always feel like a bad economy because of this

People have been so gaslighted and brainwashed by governments, corporations and the mainstream media, that even many supposed activists, mistakenly think the obstacle, is getting people, the public to accept climate action. This whole narrative is false.

Just how bad is Gaza? A study just concluded the "civilian proportion of deaths is HIGHER THAN THAT IN ALL WORLD CONFLICTS IN 20TH CENTURY"
And that's 20TH CENTURY, you know, the one with both world wars.
The horror we're seeing is truly unprecedented.
