A year later, with double the volumes and my point couldn't be more proven. Hokazono is a fantastic artist, but he loves stuffing his volumes with characters. Ichi on the other hand? Masterful use of accentuating the persona, presence & power of the person the cover pertains.

"By prayer AND BLOOD" (Ch. 119) "Dedicating both prayer AND BLOOD" (Ch. 136) 血を捧げる means to offer, dedicate / sacrifice blood. Call me crazy, but 'dedicating blood' does not imply a simple royal lineage. They did that human sacrifice shit. That was not Soga propaganda.
