Our Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) are not our fault. We didn’t have power over when or why they happened. But we do have the power to show ourselves grace and choose how we move forward. We have the power to decide how the stories of our numbers turn out. @mynumberstory

This is the reason EVERY law enforcement officer in the country needs to be trained on ACEs and trauma-informed policing. This child just witnessed a violent confrontation between her parents. These are the moments when we MUST help children feel safe. Not pepper spray them.
