Photography's Facebook moment came when photo albums became social networks. What used to be a photo album on a bookshelf became a digital identity, a community, and eventually businesses worth billions. Art is next, paintings on walls are becoming networked art on the blockchain. Artists, collectors, and communities can now reach cultural consensus at the speed of the internet. What did he mean by this? Glad you asked! Essentially no more gambling. No more trusting or following blindly. No more flavor of the week. I crave longevity. I expect a bond formed between artist and collectors. I demand both beauty and innovation, utilizing the blockchain to unlock digital art’s fullest potential. I will support those who show up every day. I will advocate for those who still believe in a brighter future ahead for digital art, and not just mindless extraction. I will proliferate those who show a genuine appreciation and love for this space. And one other thing I’ve discovered recently… The art should not be centered around what rewards will holders receive. The art needs to BE the reward.

Fuck it. I’m going all in on digital artist driven NFTs. I’ll be making some portfolio adjustments to further my conviction around those that I expect to be here for better or worse, until AI inevitably takes us all out once and for all. Until then, I will be an avid Collector.

3/ Artwork Commentary This artwork is a commemoration of an unfortunate period in the space - specifically the exploit of PaymentProcessorV2 which caused security vulnerabilities for NFTs - and the subsequent rescue that, thanks to Quit (@0xQuit on X), became a legendary story. 100% of my cut of the mint proceeds will go to Quit as a thank you for turning a moment of chaos into something the community could rally around. Made for the story. Minted for a legend.
