Hi all. This is Pixie's mama
I have sad news. My beautiful Pixie has gone OTRB. She deteriorated quickly last week and on Wednesday afternoon we made the difficult decision to let her go. Our hearts are broken but after a couple days I'm finding myself in place of peace

The male Mandarin is rightly lauded as a stunning duck, but I think the female has a special charm of her own, don't you agree? ๐๐ฆ๐

Last week I was asked if we could take 2 golden retrievers who had been surrendered. As soon as I saw the video of them looking frail, broken and unwell I agreed. 2 very kind ladies fought for their freedom and drove the dogs to meet our team today.
The story is complicated and I wonโt go into it here. What I can share is that a third sibling died. Although these 2 dogs look ok at first glance there are so many problems. Their fluffiness is covering some very malnourished and unhealthy dogs. Despite that their tails wonโt stop wagging.
The ladies who saved them named them Bonnie and Clyde. The perfect names for 2 dogs on the run from their past and hoping to start a new life with us.
There are a lot more questions than answers right now for these 2. What I do know is that we will try our very best to save them, build them back up and make better lives for them. Bonnie and Clyde have had some early treatments and are sleeping beside each other in the hospital.
Letโs see what we can do ๐คโค๏ธ

Don't walk past the scared, the timid, the old, the boring colors, the ones missing an eye or a leg. They have so much love to give and just need to be given a chance, given love, given a furever home. Open your heart and it will be filled with a fur's love๐

If your pet has vision or hearing loss, physical disability or just shy, you may want to make a note on your pet's ID tag.
If your pet is ever lost the info on the ID tag could prevent assumptions that the dog's shyness or disability is a result of abuse or lack of care

High winds have been much more prevalent in the last several months! Has it been windy recently where you live? Your fence could be damaged in high winds. Check the entire perimeter carefully to make sure your pets can't get out!๐ฑ๐จ๐จ๐จ
