Our final day of the "LOUIS - A silent film" tour was one to remember. It started in the morning with a visit to the David Monette Trumpets factory in Portland, where I brought my horn in for a little maintenance. Always a joy to spend time with “Doctor” Dave Monette and his brilliant team—full of insight, warmth, and deep dedication to the craft. We shared lunch, stories, and plenty of laughs. Last night, we played our last show of the tour at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall. Director Dan Pritzker joined us in the audience, and the band gave it everything. To top it off, we surprised Alexa Tarantino with a rendition of Happy Birthday from the stage, and celebrated afterward with friends, family, and guests. It was the perfect way to close out a tour filled with soul, camaraderie, and unforgettable performances. Deep thanks to our incredible production team and all those working behind the scenes—your hard work, heart, and precision made this journey possible. We’re grateful for every moment.
