The Virginia General Assembly took three steps toward a more progressive and inclusive Commonwealth today. If these amendments pass again next year, they will go to the Virginia voters, who will decide whether or not to add them to our Constitution.

Abortion was never readily available for Indigenous ppl thanks to a federal law that has prohibited nearly all abortions at Indian Health Service clinics since 1976. Another example that Roe was never enough. Follow orgs like @IWRising to learn how you can uplift Indigenous ppl.

We need to protect our rights at the state level. One way to do that? Amending Virginia's constitution. This Wednesday, Virginia lawmakers will consider THREE constitutional amendments protecting: 🏥 reproductive freedom 🗳️ voting rights 🏳️‍🌈 and marriage equality.
