The work seems to be progressing and going fine… but this is no where near 70%.
PLATEAU STATE STADIUM PROJECT HITS 70% COMPLETION AS MUTFWANG REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO SPORTS AND YOUTH DEVELOPMENT
The ongoing reconstruction and upgrade of the Plateau State Stadium has reached approximately 70% completion, with major concrete works completed and attention shifting to interior finishing, dressing rooms, roofing, plastering and other essential fittings.
The Honourable Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Suleiman Yakunde, who provided an update on the project, expressed confidence that work would be accelerated to achieve full completion before the end of the month.
Beyond the physical transformation of the stadium, the project represents a significant investment in the future of sports on the Plateau. According to the Chairman of the Plateau State Football Association, the facility will provide a much-needed platform for football and other sporting activities, creating opportunities for Plateau United, other local teams and potentially national football competitions.
The Honourable Commissioner for Youth and Sports also commended Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang for his remarkable interventions in sports development, including the provision of sporting equipment, training and retraining of coaches, support for sporting associations and increased opportunities for young people.
He further highlighted the Governor's commitment to youth inclusion in governance, noting that young people now occupy significant positions across the State Executive Council, boards, agencies, local governments and other levels of leadership.
From rebuilding sporting infrastructure to empowering young people to take up leadership responsibilities, the Mutfwang administration continues to demonstrate that investing in the youth is investing in the future of Plateau State.
A new era for sports. A new generation of leaders. A Plateau moving forward.

I joined fellow alumni and members of the Gindiri Schools community for the Gindiri Schools Reunion Service at Ulster Church, Gindiri, Plateau State.
It was a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with old friends, classmates and fellow alumni across different graduating sets, celebrate the bonds we share and reflect on the values and experiences that have remained with us long after leaving the classrooms.
I was particularly delighted to celebrate with my classmates in GOSA Set 86 as we marked our 40th anniversary with legacy projects at Boys' Secondary School, Gindiri, and Girls' High School, Gindiri. These projects reflect our collective commitment to giving back to the institutions that helped shape our lives and investing in the next generation.
I congratulate all the anniversary sets celebrating their respective milestones and commend the Gindiri Schools community for sustaining this enduring tradition of fellowship, service and commitment to education. The best way to honour an institution that shaped us is to continue contributing to its growth and legacy.
