Sorry but I don’t think if you’re a H.S. Baseball player that wants to play college baseball, taking the fall off from playing competitive games is not the right answer. Especially on how hard it is to find a home to play at the next level! Just my opinion. #Portal

🚨 Exciting Announcement 🚨
GameDayOne.com officially LIVE.
After months of planning and building the site - the evolution of KDJBlog - we are thrilled to open the doors to the new home for local sports in Westchester, Rockland, Putnam and Dutchess counties.
GameDay One will have Bracketology, scores, schedules, standings - plus far more video, articles and social media content on all of our platforms. The daily newsletter will soon be returning. We'll continue to work in conjunction with LocalLive on streaming, as well as other new partners.
Our only focus is to promote athletes, teams and the communities - as we realize the vision for a complete local sports ecosystem for the @SecOneAthletics @CHSAA_NYC and @nysais schools in our region. This site is a major step.
None of it would be possible without the support of Veolia, our launch partner. Veolia and Bill Madden have been longtime supporters of communities in this area. We are grateful for @Veolia and @maddenrockny allowing @RyMo43 and I to make GameDayOne.com happen.
Please support Veolia by exploring their conservation program at conserve.veolia.us

BAD PLAYERS don’t take much seriously.
AVERAGE PLAYERS take games seriously.
GOOD PLAYERS take practice & games seriously.
GREAT PLAYERS take academics, nutrition, warm-ups, ind. work, weight room, conditioning, film, practice & games seriously.

You can hire the coach from juco BUT you can’t take the juco out of the coach. Last night we repaired turf & painted our dugouts. Don’t just sit & complain & wait around for others to do something that you can do - Do IT YOURSELF & help out your campus personnel at times.

HS Parents:
Prior to complaining to your child’s coach about playing ask yourself 4 questions:
1 Does my child attend ALL practices?
2 Does my child spend xtra hrs on their game?
3 Has my child performed when given the chance?
4 Does my child want it as bad as I do?

Sometimes coaches don’t get enough credit
HS Coaches have:
• 3-4 teams/levels to manage
• Around 50 athletes to take care for
• Near 100 parents to please
• 7-10 admin to report to
• 5-10 assistant coaches
High school coaching is becoming an extremely difficult profession!
