GENTLEMATES🇫🇷 ARE QUALIFIED FOR GCC UPPER FINAL
2-0 vs MIBR🇧🇷
Another crushing victory against a Brazilian team, they didn’t come to make new friends…
the M8 level is so high, a lot of signs are clearly green, and we can also see the impact of Safia’s arrival. All positive, that announces good things for the future ^^
The idea of an open circuit for 2027 was particularly exciting.
But today everything seems more uncertain than ever.
The partner teams benefit from an immensely unfair advantage (and playoffs qualifiers invited teams also) whether financially, or even logistically.
Entire teams will have to be built at the last moment, extremely talented players will undoubtedly play without organization, without financial security.
Next, the very format of open qualifiers is unfair. Everything is decided in very few matches and teams from OQ have now a disadvantage when they qualify for playoffs qualifier ??
Then what happens to these teams and eliminated players when that ends? Are they waiting 4 months to replay an open qualifier with unfair rules ?
Many uncertainties will be changed i hope, but I think that if im a player, I would be crossed by many paradoxical feelings, and some very bad

Man I really hoped this year will be turning point for the scene, but I stg t2 players are getting into harder situation each year even more.
I dont lose hope, I truly believe it will come, I just wish it was this year.
Grind always pays off, but there has to be a goal to reach.

if i'm reading this correctly, automatically putting european OQ teams into single-elim for like half a spot is one of the most ridiculous things i've ever seen and would explain why players are being pressured into taking terrible orged offers rn
gj to all involved 👍👍👍👍👍

EVERYTHING IS A TOURNAMENT! right?
sigh, just sigh.
- ALL open qualifier teams start from the lower bracket.
- no communication of any of this, everything has been built on "OPEN QUALIFIERS EVERYONE CAN QUAL".
- we find out not from Riot themselves but through an invited org tweet?
- no mention of any of this in the rulebook or on social media anywhere before UCAM's tweet, designed to be a haze.
- marketing campaign built on "OPEN" qualifiers, "fairness" & "equality" isn't really correct, is it? but when were you going to tell us this? did you ever plan to tell us this?
oh also haha, NO TECH PAUSES ARE ALLOWED in open qualifiers as the rulebook states this 😭
so not only do invited teams skip open qualifiers, they get to start in the upper bracket with everyone else from open qualifiers having to start in lowers?
the marketing campaign for 2027 was built on open qualifiers & fairness. everyone has to fight for their spot, we find out now only a few days before registration ends that this is not the case but you have partnered teams & invited teams in every region who are given an advantage to everyone else.
not only this but having to start in the lower bracket for EVERY OPEN QUALIFIER TEAM? for invited teams playoffs is double elimination, for open qualifier teams it's single elimination.
well best of luck to everyone in open quals! you're fighting a constant uphill battle. not that you knew it to this degree, of course.
MDR is cooking good

OMG THAT IS INSANE

G2🇪🇺 shut down by a strong and dominant MIBR🇧🇷 team
G2 never found any momentum during the game, already in lower bracket….
MIBR confirms their great start during this GCC !

Another bomb during this off season.
We saw some up and downs from Derke and VIT during this year so kinda expected.
Idk what’s next for Derke and who’s will fill the gap in VIT buts that very exciting
CGN🇩🇪 are Project Blender Phase 2 Winners
Looking nice
The results of the project blender already prove one thing:
Next season starts very soon, and I am convinced that teams formed as early as possible, especially those where the "core" or even the entire team has not changed, will be GREATLY ADVANTAGED.
The meta will change, but the preparation time is extremely short, so this gives an advantage to teams that are already well-trained, with a synergy and game principles that have been effective for some time.
For example, CGN announced that they would keep their roster some time ago, and I’m convinced that this is the kind of ideal choice for next season.
Teams with few changes like KC or VITA will therefore be the best equipped for the start of the season imo
OKAY I WAS NOT READY FOR THAT THIS MORNING
