In light of recent ao3 related events, I have stumbled upon a website that I think authors need to be made aware of.
The website ao3 [DOT] life has been scraping and downloading fics published to ao3 for who knows how long. 🧵

STARRING GENE TIERNEY ❤️ Now playing on the Criterion Channel! bit.ly/4BEizzK
With her porcelain beauty and a cool sophistication that seemed to conceal turbulent emotional depths, Tierney emerged as one of the most arresting stars of Hollywood's golden age.

With last night’s news that the 'MISTBORN' film appears to be rated between PG-13 and PG-14, here’s a reminder:
Rated-R films are notoriously harder to market and typically earn less at the box office. PG-13 is the safer commercial bet.
The Cosmere will be the next big thing!

Brandon affirms yet again that he will have to change some things for the Cosmere adaptations.
He clarifies that, like the 'LORD OF THE RINGS' films, he will keep more than he will change.
He recognizes that some fans resist change, yet books and cinema are very different.

Vin and Kelsier will likely have American accents in the 'MISTBORN' film.
Whereas characters in 'THE STORMLIGHT ARCHIVE' tv series may have British accents.
This will all depend on who they hire.

According to Brandon, most of his stories—including those in the Cosmere—will likely receive ratings similar to the Marvel films, falling in the PG-13 to PG-14 range.
'THE STORMLIGHT ARCHIVE' series, however, will probably be rated TV-MA because of its war scenes.

Brandon says that Kelsier will likely be the only character who is played by a famous actor in the 'MISTBORN' film.
Vin and Elend will likely be played by newer, unknown actors.
Although it is possible that Sazed could be played by a famous actor as well.

Dune, I love you, but your reign as this era's LOTRs will come to an end in 2030 once MISTBORN drops 🫡🫡

When discussing how time constraints might force some characters and events off-screen, Brandon offered an example: Dockson’s role in Kelsier’s crew could be absorbed by Sazed, since Sazed needs significantly more screentime.
This is just an example and may or may not happen.

Happy Halloween, Worldhoppers!
In celebration of today, let's talk Koloss!
Should these fearsome monsters crafted by the Lord Ruler be fully CGI in the 'MISTBORN' film or practical?
Maybe a mix of both for good measure?

Tony Gilroy says he was ready to scrap “Behemoth!” after losing Oscar Isaac to “a traffic jam between ‘Frankenstein’ and awards,” but a three-hour lunch with Pedro Pascal convinced him he’d found his new leading man:
“I was rehearsing in the car the speech I was going to give my people: ‘Hey, we really tried hard, but we’re not going to do this movie now.’
10 minutes into [the meeting], I’m like, ‘Oh my God, can he be this perfect? There must be something wrong with him. What’s wrong?’
We had a three-hour meeting that was more of a prenup than a meeting because after about half an hour, we’d decided, ‘OK, we like you, you like us, nobody’s selling anything.’ That’s how meetings should be. He said, ‘I’ll start tomorrow.’ The next day, he had a cello.”
