Surprised Bayern didn’t bring in a more defensive full-back (as well as Brown) in the summer. This was a clear area of upgrade after the PSG knockout last season and was not impressed with Stanisic & Laimer’s defensive performances again vs Arsenal. Weak point of the team.

Declan Rice is the best midfielder in the world at defending. This on its own would be enough to make him a world class midfielder. But then he’s also excellent at ball-carrying, is decent at long passes/switches and chips in with goals/assists. Phenomenal midfielder.

Kane has dropped in as a midfielder to take on the creative burden of Olise & Kimmich and carved apart the best defensive team in the world with multiple long-range passes. Ridiculous stuff.
