Today, I introduced a resolution to impeach Obama-appointed Judge John McConnell Jr. After a terrorist attack on members of the National Guard, USCIS paused certain asylum and immigration benefit applications submitted by illegal aliens pending additional security vetting. Judge McConnell blocked that policy and ordered USCIS to resume processing those applications. By rejecting the government's national security concerns, Judge McConnell placed the interests of noncitizens seeking immigration benefits above the safety and security of the American people.
