It is absolutely wild that days after massive Black turnout propelled Democrats to a huge victory in the House, mostly white leftists are publicly demanding that Democrats reject the first Black Speaker of the House.

Let’s get the facts straight about Hakeem Jeffries and Jared Kushner.
• Kushner requested the meeting.
• Jeffries accepted to discuss the affordability crisis.
• Jeffries explicitly reaffirmed that NO ONE in Trump’s orbit gets a pass on accountability.
Claiming this meeting somehow proves Jeffries is aligned with Trump — or makes him unfit to be Speaker — is TOTAL IGNORANCE.
A Speaker must be able to govern AND hold people accountable. Those responsibilities are not mutually exclusive.
