The Health and PensionWorks Coalition and Primacy Strategy Group had a fantastic week at the 72nd Annual Federation of Employee Benefits Conference in New Orleans. In addition to participating in discussions on employee benefits policy and stakeholder engagement, we had the opportunity to meet with trustees, health and pension funds, labor organizations, and industry partners from across the country. The enthusiasm and interest we heard for the Coalition's work reinforced the importance of bringing stakeholders together to strengthen and protect Taft-Hartley benefits. Thank you to everyone who shared their time, perspectives, and ideas. We're excited to build on the momentum from IFEBP and continue these conversations moving forward.

Primacy Strategy Group was delighted to help bring Congresswoman Julie Fedorchak to our client @LIUNAMinnesota’s training facility in Bismarck, ND for a site tour and discussion on key labor issues. Rep. Fedorchak saw firsthand how LIUNA is training a strong and skilled workforce that builds North Dakota! #NorthDakota #Workforce #LIUNA #SkilledTrades
Yesterday, I visited the LIUNA North Dakota Training Center in Bismarck to learn more about the work they do to prepare folks for careers in construction, energy, and infrastructure. I even had the opportunity to try my hand at holding—not operating—a few different jackhammers! I have a much greater appreciation for the strength and precision operators of these tools need to have. With growing demand for skilled labor across North Dakota, training programs like LIUNA’s are essential to building a strong workforce and supporting our state’s continued growth.

It is gratifying to have helped support the City of Moorhead in securing the federal funding needed to make the 11th Street underpass a reality. This $171.6 million project is about so much more than infrastructure. It means fewer train blockages, safer and faster emergency response, less time and fuel wasted, and a stronger, more connected Moorhead for generations to come. Congratulations to Mayor Shelly Carlson, the City of Moorhead, MNDOT, Minnesota’s Federal Delegation, and all of the community, state, federal, and private-sector partners who kept this project moving forward.

Last week PSG coordinated a base tour with WI State Reps. Dean Kaufert and Nate Gustafson at Flight For Life’s Waukesha base to see firsthand how air medical transportation serves as a critical lifeline for patients across Wisconsin.

The visit highlighted the essential role Flight For Life plays in delivering rapid, lifesaving care—particularly in rural and underserved communities where timely access to advanced medical treatment can make all the difference. The Representatives also had the opportunity to meet with the pilots, flight nurses, paramedics, and support staff who make these missions possible every day.

Last week, Primacy Strategy Group once again had the opportunity to support the Fargo Moorhead West Fargo Chamber of Commerce to coordinate a powerful and productive fly-in to Washington, D.C. It was a privilege to facilitate meetings with members from the North Dakota and Minnesota congressional delegations, as well as to convene a panel of senior leaders working in Washington, DC with Midwest roots, including key officials from Capitol Hill, the Farm Service Agency, and the Department of the Interior. The action packed week included engagement with senior leadership from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Major Generals from the Air National Guard, and a key agricultural briefing from House Agriculture Committee Ranking Member, Congresswoman Angie Craig. The group held discussions with staff from Senate Majority Leader John Thune’s office on the state of the administration and the outlook for reconciliation 2.0 and met with Carlos Vanderloo, Minister-Counsellor for Economic and Trade Policy at the Canadian Embassy, at their headquarters for a briefing on U.S.–Canada relations and shared policy priorities. We are proud to support the Chamber’s efforts to advocate for the region and connect with national leaders on the issues that matter most!
