Btw, my labs came back. Iron etc dropped significantly but to be expected; I started with phenomenal stores and they're still great for this stage. CBC good. Will take my fasting insulin with this week's glucose readings and calculate HOMA-IR. Glucose readings have been amazing.

There are now bite marks in the parmesan cheese block
The worst thing about being an ingredients household is when there are no leftovers and you want a midnight pregnancy snack it means you have to MAKE something and I'm not doing all that but I'm hungry 馃槶

I鈥榤 loyal af if I like you. If you bring me meat - even more 馃ぃ This piece of lamb loin has a fun story, though some of you wouldn't eat it because how it was raised. Got it gifted from my friend, he gets it from a friend. Cameroon dwarf sheep, local, solar grazed. Caught my attention. Turns out it鈥檚 from my uncle鈥檚 flock and they know each other. Small world. That will make a delicious meal 馃い

We made double roasted potatoes with dinner so I would have potatoes to make breakfast burritos in the morning but what it has actually resulted in is eating more potatoes with dinner lol

Grandpa puts it on bread and calls it "shit on a shingle". Very popular meal if able during the depression.
Made dried beef gravy for a bedtime snack. My kids said it looks gross, but tastes delicious. 馃槀

You're confusing the body's ability to make certain fatty acids w the idea that nutritional sat fat is irrelevant. The body can synth sat fat acids but that doesn't mean dietary fat is not needed. Dietary fat has physiological functions beyond supplying saturated fatty acids
Replying to @PrimallyRooted
Based on all you鈥檝e said, the general guidelines make absolute sense. The data for/against full-fat and low-fat dairy is vague. The body will make the sat fat is needs which is why it鈥檚 unnecessary to consume. The only fats needed for baby are Omega-3 & unsaturated.

including facilitating fat-soluble vitamin absorption and providing essential fatty acids. & synthesizing some fatty acids doesn't make all dietary sources nutritionally interchangeable. You're talking about saturated fat being essential as a nutrient, not whether blanket advice

to avoid saturated-fat-containing foods is sound nutritional guidance during pregnancy.

All big food caues harm, not just the meat and dairy industry. This is why food systems need to return to locak, regenerative farming focused on proper animal husbandry, repairing the land, and serving the local community.
Replying to @palifem
yall are willing to believe any conspiracy aside from the actual harm caused my the meat and dairy industry

I actually just didn't want to write a novel on the TL, but ok. This is a fundamental misunderstanding of nutrition. Yes, calories matter. But CICO doesn't mean the source of those calories doesn't matter. Fat and carbs have different metabolic effects, and when you remove fat

You鈥檇 know where to begin if you knew what you were talking about.

A developing fetus is an oversimplification. The question isn't whether full-fat dairy has more calories. Of course it does. The question is whether reducing those calories by removing dietary fat actually improves maternal and fetal outcomes in the context of an otherwise

nutrient-dense diet. Those are two very different things, and one does not automatically establish the other. Normally I don't do crazy threads like this because it takes too long to compose and organize + post but you asked for it by being a reductive moron.
