Last year at an Eagles farewell concert - a group who’ve seen & done it all, took to the stage & said that with so much madness in the world, we should enjoy ourselves for 2 hours while they played. We did. It didn’t mean you can’t have your views. And I’ll just leave that there.

Production quality on @SkySportsDarts for @OfficialPDC World Championship has been phenomenal to be fair. The broadcast, the feature segments, the soundtracking - it has all made for a compelling spectacle, befitting of some insane talent.
Taking the view that even if the track you are on isn’t an easy one, it doesn’t make it wrong. Against a New Year backdrop of hope & reinvention, I’m no more hopeful today than yesterday. The calendar changed but nothing else. Having the courage of your convictions is fine by me.
Old people’s fixation with the “news” at given times. “Oh, it’s 9.00, put the news on” - the idea of 24hr news seems unfathomable to them. I tell them there is news every minute, some reported before it’s even happened. But nah, not going in. It’s 9.00 and they want “the” news.🙈
Those people who are unable to throw away bubble wrap because “it might come in handy one day” - then moan about having no space in the cupboards because they are full of bubble wrap you don’t use? An unusual brand of logic.
On my evening dog walk in Autumn, I enjoy seeing the effect that lights have behind trees and leaves on the ground. Don’t get me wrong, I’d rather be somewhere tropical…but until then, it’ll do.

Couple months since it came out but finally watched McEnroe doc on Sky. Brilliant piece of work. Takeaways: insane talent, the wonderful rivalry and friendship with Borg, the clarity of recollection as he talks thru his story. Fully focused special people w/v special legacies.
Harrogate for a few hours today. Yes, the grand buildings help but it does always remind me how good a town centre can look if it cared for and properly managed. The retailers all seem bought into the idea and it is always immaculate. Credit where it is due.
