He also "knew" the budget of E-day until he was walking it back a week later. He also knew of the harassment/abuse happening yet sat on it for a year so he could profit off of it in a book.
Don't fall for the trap. Let Bethesda market this game how they want and just wait for actual information. I guarantee you, you will enjoy gaming a lot more when you ignore/block out leaks.

He's absolutely right. I know Studio leaders looking to move away from bloated dev cycles and adapt more of the Eastern style, only to get push back.
IMO unless it's figured out, Western studios won't last...
Hot take: It's entirely reasonable to criticize how irresponsibly bloated Western game budgets have become.
We've reached a point where publishers defend mtx in $70 games as a necessity just to remain financially viable. This erodes good game design.
Meanwhile, developers in other countries are delivering ambitious games without $500 million budgets.
It absolutely needs to be questioned and criticized.
It's out of control.

This is why @asha_shar @ballmatthew need to take a harder stance on media outlets and even some disingenuous content creators who consistently show they want XBOX to fail.
Same people who chanted for "Exclusives matter! XBOX is losing its identity with multiplat" are now the same ones yelling "Gears should have been multiplat to get more sales!" Now the concern trolling/engagement farm starts with "I hope Coalition doesnt get shut down or lays off employees" People are completely ignoring the sub revenue Game Pass brings in and the live service element Eday has with MTXs.
XBOX's problem isn't exclusives, multiplatform, or consoles sales. Its how the media, content creators, influencers, etc consistently use XBOX branding as a stepping stone to drive false narratives, engagement/click/rage bait, and more to boost their own visibility with little to no repercussions. These same outlets/people will still get invited to special events, still get review codes, and have the red carpet rolled out for them while they spit in XBOX's face any chance they get. Stop trying to be friends with people who hate you. They want you to fail and love the inside access that helps them achieve that goal while boosting their own revenue/image.
There are some amazing media/creators out there who cant even get a review code or the same invites to events who genuinely love gaming and the XBOX brand. Grassroots is what got XBOX to be the community driven/supported brand it is. You want to "Return to XBOX"? Start working with more genuine outlets/content creators who remember what gaming is and want it to succeed. Not creators/media whose only form of coverage is negativity farming.
