Let me make something VERY clear: my friends are not background noise, and they’re not any less deserving of respect just because they aren’t creators. I notice when you value access to me more than the people I choose to stand beside. I notice when you try to interact with me, excluding my friend(s). I notice it, because it is in fact disrespectful. Clout chasing and selective respect is not cute. My friends and family should never be treated as less important just because they don't have a platform, or something you view as "nothing to gain from". Creator or not, they deserve the same respect and consideration as anyone else. If you're only interested in me because of what I can possibly offer you, while disregarding the people I care about, we have a problem. I don't tolerate that kind of disrespect, and trust me, I take note of who moves that way. 💯
