We are losing our democracy and each of us needs to apply our strengths to the task at hand. Here are a few of the gender politics research spaces that I think need some xtra TLC (theory- new ideas, new imaginaries!; sexuality- strengthen the bridge; and IR- can't be just 1 note)

I've had the honor of knowing David Brooks for years. I admire him and have been deeply moved, informed, inspired, and bettered by his books and talks. He was a Republican when I met him. I don't know his party affiliation now. What I do know is he has always been a man of virtue, objective reasoning, pragmatism, wisdom, and invaluable insights. What he states here is painful and true. I will continue to fight to stop this awful reality undermining good governance and causing such awful impact on dedicated public servants who are doing vital work for our safety, strength and national security.

“only recently have congressional staff even been afforded an avenue to lodge sexual harassment complaints, as it has long been a part of the heteropatriarchy norms that informally regulate Washington D.C.,” she said." Got to say it out loud. Thanks @brittanylwong #FeministPress

I've watched this clip every morning since it happened asking myself if I would have the courage to question the authority of armed men in uniforms arresting one of my students for exercising their constitutional rights. Every teacher should be asking themselves this question.

Surprised how little mainstream media attention this is getting- rest in power Aaron.
US serviceman Aaron Bushnell, who set fire to himself outside the Israeli embassy in Washington DC saying he was protesting against the genocide of Palestinians, has died in hospital from his injuries ⤵️

I am watching! Wonder if the gender of the pollster has any effect....@kdittmar
Vote by gender data quite different in AP VoteCast v. Edison exit poll. Expect some of these might be adjusted once the vote is fully in. VoteCast: ♀ Trump 55%, Haley 38% ♂ Trump 56%, Haley 39% Edison: ♀ Trump 40%, Haley 49% ♂ Trump 58%, Haley 48%
