My longest blog to date. You can love the hell out of somebody and STILL feel bored in your relationship. Sometimes the love isn’t gone. You’ve just stopped nurturing it. I share some of my own heartbreak in this one. ❤️ BrittanyAMoore.com

30 days of content DONE! 🥳 Learned I’m inconsistently consistent, a better performer than producer, and filming yourself in public is awkward AF. But I got more comfortable, had fun, and learned a lot. Moral of the story? Do the uncomfortable shit anyway. 💕

Yung Miami and JT’s friendship fallout hits close to home. Sometimes you can love somebody deeply and still grow apart. Growth changes us, and not every friendship adjusts the same way. Can you still connect with someone you no longer relate to the same way? Day 27/30 💕

1/3 “You did a great job!” Seems kind, right? 👀 But one thing Nonviolent Communication is teaching me is that praise and appreciation aren’t always the same thing. And man… I’ve definitely used them interchangeably. 😭 The difference is worth thinking about.

2/3 Praise often evaluates someone: “You’re so thoughtful!” Appreciation shows the impact: “When you checked on me yesterday, I felt cared for. I really needed that connection.” One tells someone what we think of them. The other helps them understand why their actions mattered.

3/3 This doesn’t mean compliments are bad or we should stop telling people they did a great job. 😂 But imagine how much more meaningful our gratitude could be if we explained the impact. Sometimes the greatest gift Is telling them what they meant to us. ❤️

Quavo is STILL talking about taking back Saweetie’s Bentley, and I have questions. 👀 Because when you give someone a gift, what exactly changes when the relationship ends? Does your generosity suddenly come with terms and conditions nobody agreed to? Day 26/30

1/3 You can’t solve conflict if people don’t feel heard. Ever been upset and someone keeps offering solutions, but you’re STILL frustrated? They’re like, “WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT ME TO DO?!” 😭 Meanwhile, you’re thinking, “Can you understand why I’m upset FIRST?!”

2/3 Sometimes we’re so eager to fix a problem that we skip understanding the person experiencing it. empathy isn’t an obstacle to resolving conflict. It’s often what makes resolution possible. People aren’t always rejecting the solution. They may not feel heard yet.

3/3 Feeling heard doesn’t mean someone has to agree w/ u or give u everything you’re asking for. It means your experience has room 2 b acknowledged. Sometimes the most helpful response isn’t “Here’s what we should do.” It’s “I want to understand what this has been like for you.”

Kevin Gates selling his music catalog has me thinking about something bigger than the money. Dreka was there before the fame, helping build his career. And she’s spoken about struggling with her own identity after spending years doing it. That’s worth discussing.

⚠️ TW: Domestic violence ⚠️ Rick Ross’s DV arrest raises a bigger conversation about jealousy and control. He denies the allegations and has pleaded not guilty. Jealousy is a feeling. It isn’t permission to punish your partner. When does jealousy cross the line into control?
