I really feel like we all missed that Beavis was the original poster child for trauma. Among other signs, he: 1) Clearly disassociated. 2) Was hyper-vigilant and stuck to the same routines. 3) Felt unsafe in the world as he frequently asked “Are you threatening me?”

Fear gets a voice, not a vote. #ImposterSyndrome, self-doubt, “what-ifs”, these things all are valid feelings to experience on your growth journey. Zuck and Elon:

Two weeks ago, my sister announced she was leaving her job of 19 years. Last week, my mother resigned after 31 years. This week, I announce I am leaving academia after 9 years to focus on @MullMentum. Gotta think my Daddy is pretty proud of his 3 “You Girls” as we’ve supported each other through these tough decisions (and I helped Darby write her first resume in 19 years!). Truly grateful to my students and the supportive colleagues I had along the way. Here’s to the next adventure!

All my positive power to you. It was a totally unnecessarily brutal process for me trying to adopt a pup. I ended up getting a rescue from a hoarding situation that the agency couldn’t adopt out as they thought he was feral. He’s not. He’s mine. This is him tonight.
