Just published in @JNCI_Now led by @lateuwen and in collaboration with @ChernyNathan. We provide specific recommendations for improved adverse event reporting in cancer clinical trials. For a true shared decision making, these items are necessary, not “good to have”. academic.oup.com/jnci/advanc…

After years in the ICU, I have a few controversial opinions: Here are a few of my most controversial ICU opinions: 1. Doing chest compressions on a frail 95 year old isn't "saving a life." It's just cruel.

We have moved out of the house and garden we have lived in and loved for over 28 years. Here are some final garden photos. I'm sorry I cannot do alt text because the screen is a bit blurry.

Actual exchange: @Google, confidently: you researched estrogen therapy for #ProstateCancer and were instrumental in the PATCH trial. Me: Absolutely not true. G: Yes sorry, I made that up. Me: Well, don’t do that. G: I can’t help it. So yes, if you’re wondering: we’re screwed.

Reviewing a paper, found an odd reference. Could not find paper on journal web site, Google, PubMed. Asked @GoogleAI: is this paper real? G: Yes it's real, look at journal web site Me: the DOI goes to a different paper G: Yes I was wrong, it's typical of an AI hallucination

@Google your @GoogleAI is often badly wrong in my experience. Humans: we should never trust what it tells us.

🏃‍♂️ Are we doing enough to make exercise part of supportive care for advanced prostate cancer? link.springer.com/article/10… Prevalence of meeting aerobic physical activity and resistance training guidelines in advanced prostate cancer: a descriptive study of racial and regional disparities in the IRONMAN💪 registry In 2,485 participants from the international IRONMAN registry, 58–63% met aerobic activity guidelines, but only 19–23% achieved recommended resistance training levels. Participation was particularly low in African 🌍 regions, where just 0–3% met resistance training guidelines. ➡️ Black participants and those from Africa had lower odds of meeting aerobic activity recommendations. ✅ The findings highlight important geographic and racial disparities and the need for tailored exercise strategies in advanced prostate cancer care. @Alekssolberg1, @nat_greaves, @Prof_IanD, @DrAndreFay, @DebEnting, @RayMcDermott1, @SimoneBadal, @APoopola, @JohnLazarus01, @quimmateo, @bjartell, @AOmlin, @camilleragin, @loreleimucci, @IRONMANregistry @OncoAlert 🚨 #LPCCC27 @Silke_Gillessen @AOmlin @ProfKHerrmann @weoncologists

What utter bullshit. We have eliminated cervical cancer in Australia because of this extraordinary vaccine. Take NO NOTICE of this charlatan.
RFK Jr: “The Gardasil HPV vaccine — is 37 TIMES MORE LETHAL than the cancer it claims to prevent.” “Gardasil is the single worst mass vaccine that we’ve ever seen. It targets millions of pre-teens & teens, whose risk of dying from cervical cancer is ZERO. Nobody in their right mind would ever take this vaccine if they actually read the clinical literature.” Death rates in the Gardasil trials were 37 times the death rates for cervical cancer. Your child is 37 times more likely to DIE from the shot than from cervical cancer itself. And here’s the criminal part: It was NEVER tested against a true inert placebo. Merck ran the studies, Merck paid for the studies, Merck decided what injuries were “just coincidences.” The control group got aluminum neurotoxins — the same injuries as the vaccine group — so Merck wrote them all off. No science. No safety. Just profit. This is being pushed on our kids while Big Pharma laughs all the way to the bank. Read the clinical data. Say NO to Gardasil. Protect your children before it’s too late. The new reformulated Gardasil-9 HPV Vaccine used Gardasil-1 HPV Vaccine as the placebo in clinical trial. Ingredients in Gardasil-9 HPV Vaccine: 9 strains HPV proteins(found to contain DNA fragments) Aluminum Polysorbate 80 Sodium Borate(Borax) GMO Yeast Protein(Saccharomyces Cerevisiae) L-Histidine Post marketing injuries listed in the package insert: Blood & Lymphatic Leukemia Pulmonary Emboli Guillain Barre' Syndrome Transverse Myelitis Brachial Neuritis Death Autoimmune Diseases Severe Anemia Pancreatitis Arthralgia & Myalgia Encephalomyelitis Paralysis Seizure Disorder Cellulitis DVT Deep Vein Thrombosis Blood Clots

I was asked to review a paper. The authors came from a country where English is not the first language. The paper was a long detailed narrative review written in impeccable English, well-structured, and all the content seemed correct. It would be a great resource if published.

The paper contained no declaration of AI use. However, the style all the way through was "Not X but Y" and four of the six sentences in the Conclusion section were written like that. I think it was written by AI. How do others approach this situation?
