Drawn&Write: New(?) idea: select sentences from a reading, have AI generate images based on the text (I used HotPot), students need to read the text and match sentences to the image. One more way for students to read without realizing that they are reading!

Reminds me of when my father passed away 7 years ago and I came back to a card signed by all of my students and a gift basket. Students are always amazing and fill my heart every day. As Eddie Vedder wrote, "all that's sacred comes from youth."

Teacher Debra Fortes was going through some difficult times and her students wanted to brighten her mood. When you have a class of kids to show this kind of respect, you are doing plenty right! They drive us nuts, but can also be very sweet at times.

We CT scanned a Stanley Quencher cup to look for the lead that’s supposedly inside. Here’s what we found, and what it says about how these cups are made… 🧵

Rivals during competition, friends when it's over. A thing of beauty! So glad @ChsQuiz is a part of our league.

As I suspected, technology should be just one of our tools as teachers...not the rock on which we stand and teach.

For ‘deeper reading’ among children aged 10-12, paper trumps screens. What does it mean when schools are going digital?

The new Snapchat AI bot will have a convo with you in Spanish (and other TLs). This could be a great way for kids to practice convos, esp for the AP simulated convo. This is an opportunity to leverage the tech already in many of the students’ hands.
