Bryan Adams has released his new song "Lake Ontario," which rails against Donald Trump's recent executive order renaming it as "Lake America." "Empires and regimes, dictators and kings, they all come and go. Lake Ontario is forever. This is a song for all the sane people on both shores who know that the current madness will pass, and that Lake Ontario will always be Lake Ontario." consequence.net/2026/10/brya…

Bono believes the Republican Party has been “hijacked” by the Trump administration, but says it doesn't represent conservatives as a whole, whom he wants to welcome back to U2's fanbase. "I think this is the most extraordinary moment. I mean, I think this is the greatest heist in the history of the world: stealing America. And it's not a caper movie—it's real, and it's happening. "I just don't want to put off good people who vote conservative, who vote Republican. Their party has been hijacked; it's an aggressive takeover of the GOP. I want to invite them back. I want them to return. People vote conservative for all kinds of reasons that are totally valid." (via @nytimes) consequence.net/2026/10/bono…
