HELLO, PARENTS! NOT EVERYTHING REQUIRES THE POLICE! Seriously. Wasn't this a perfect teaching opportunity? Getting outplayed by a three year old in soccer/ football or any sport could be a learning opportunity in resilience, humility, problem-solving and good sportsmanship etc Why not give the kids a chance to figure things out themselves? It helps build character. Let them negotiate. Let them improvise. Let them learn that life won't always go their way and that someone younger or smaller can sometimes outperform them Of course, adults must intervene when safety is at risk or play becomes bullying. But not every disappointment is an emergency. Truly. Sometimes, the best parenting is knowing when NOT to step in. Let's raise children who can solve problems, not just summon help whenever problems arise. My final thought on this subject matter: The objective of parenting is not to eliminate every obstacle in a child's path, but to help the child develop the capacity to overcome obstacles.
