“It is a broken institution, this empire, and as a Black man I have come to trust its brokenness almost like clockwork. So for me, placing even a sliver of my spirit into this realm is a fool’s game—or worse, idolatry.”

The lady just said "boarding integrity"...when did a Southwest flight become a case study for all that's wrong with humans right now???

“If we need for young people to act as adults, then we really haven’t done anything besides create a space for them to be more like us. And if they have to do all the work to get comfortable inside of our spaces, that’s not equity either.”

"DEMURE, MINDFUL"...let me say this: don't take from the Trans community without honoring their life and struggle. Don't love the language and send 'em to hell. Let your solidarity be whole

Congrats to @PureKwest for winning the award of merit for short-form personal reflection at the 2023 @AChurchPress awards. Here is his winning piece, an essay about a high school graduation ceremony inside a jail.

This would be a unique opportunity for the Democrats to say "trust our system, don't worry about who's on top"...can us voters even think like that? Voting for a way of doing things, not a face 🤔
The theory that history is nothing but the biographies of great men is not only false, it's dangerous. My latest for @ChristianCent --

"This is the faith life of many millennials. We might be in the church, but if we can find community at brunch, we might go there instead! We rock with Jesus, and we know Jesus wouldn’t rock with how the church acts sometimes."—@PureKwest, @ChristianCent

Reggie Jackson just kept it 1000 and kudos to @MLBONFOX for not censoring him. America needed that.
Miss you all!

The Haley Joel/AI/ghosts setup SHEESH🔥🔥🔥🔥Kendrick is NOT playing and is not dumbing himself down to win this thing.
Black man vulnerability needs to be modeled more. For that, RESPECT to J.Cole.
The gunplay + trans lines on the project show the growth to come, but that man WANTED HIS PEACE and was willing to TAKE THE L to get it.
Sometimes it's just discipline that keeps you on a path (which, sure, congrats?!?). WISDOM is when you get off, to notice, and course correct. Humility. Vulnerability. He lost a battle, and might win where it matters.
