We shipped a more token-efficient tool use implementation for 3.7 Sonnet that uses on average 14% less tokens under-the-hood and shows marked improvement in tool use performance.

Today, we introduced Claude 3.7 Sonnet and Claude Code! Claude 3.7 Sonnet is our smartest model yet and the first hybrid reasoning model on the market. Claude Code is a command line tool for agentic coding, so developers can hand off complex engineering jobs to Claude.
