Why do we call them "open source developers" when we could call them "open sourcerers"???

I love my cat so much that sometimes I'll compile all supported versions of python in a row to make my mac space heater comfy for her to lay on.

Kurt B. Kaiser (@kbk) mentioned several times through out the podcast! I bet many folks did not know that the now-retired PSF treasurer also was an IDLE maintainer.
The IDLE editor has been part of Python for over 20 years. In this episode Tal Einat shares the history of the module, his experience maintaining it, and some of the ways that it is being used. He also shares some of the new work being done on it. pythonpodcast.com/idle-pytho…

Already in the works - we'll get a date announcement out soon. Just like last year, it will likely be late summer / early fall.

In 2020, @thePSF's goal is to support core devs in taking Python to the next level. Our goal today is to raise $10,000, which is just a single digit % of what that support will cost. Help us get started on that goal by donating on this #GivingTuesday! python.org/psf/donations/201…
