There are only *Kick-Off* Opens for the top four regions. OCE, like SAM, MENA, APAC, and SSA, will have an eight-team league play after the Kick-Off. With PWR and WC automatically qualifying, that leaves six spots from OCE's *Club Open* (probably in January).

there is in fact an oce open qualifier for league play that 6 teams will advance from

thank fuck i havent gotten on one of these yet

yes. you would be inexperienced and a rookie, but i wouldn't consider you a young player

this is about to be his 4th season of main events. also young means age straight up

Respectfully if you’re not even touching Day 3 you shouldn’t be playing for earnings. The prizing is nice but it’s not sustainable practice for the esport

Okay, update with Bucholz in Swiss: Bucholz will still be used to generate matchups, but final seeding will be based on game difference. This is probably the best way to do it, prevents insane Swiss runs while balancing groups seeding ~appropriately

This is particularly notable because there are no points, only an extra region slot. So you can conceive a world where Falcons win the Kick-Off then fall off a cliff Split 2 like they did this season (placing behind TM and two others prolly), and they miss the Finale.

IMPORTANT: All Kick-Off invite teams get an automatic spot in League Play. The Kick-Off winner does NOT get an automatic spot at the Club Finale.

Only other important thing to note is that your seeding for the qualifiers is worse if you played in another region last season

Overview of the format

they’re not really for people who pay attention

WE’RE IN BUSINESS
