Happy Dolly Parton Day! (per SB 931) Glad to see this bill signed into law- especially given the stark difference from its introduced version. #IYKYK #CaLeg #GutandAmend @ShannonGroveCA @SenJohnLaird @CAgovernor @GavinNewsom
Happy Hobbit Day to those who celebrate! #FrodoLives #9FingerSolidarity comicbook.com/movies/feature…
#CaLeg Memory Lane for those watching @CAgovernor actions on bills along with veto messages: AB 1176 (2009) was a real doozy. #IYKYK I bet @CaucusRedux & @AlexCVassar remember

Virtual Field Trip opportunity here: On the chance that anyone is interested in some Sacramento history and has some 38mins to spare- this was particularly interesting. #CA @AlexCVassar

#CA175 is a series of interesting/fun geography facts about California. #caleg @AlexCVassar @CAStateLibrary @CAStateParks @visitca @GregLucas20 @CaliforniaDFW @Cal_LCI What more should be added to this thread? How many have you visited?
Some #EndOfSession trivia: The Assembly has adjourned first each year since 2022. In earlier years (2014-2019), it was the Senate that consistently left first.
So, what's your guess for who leaves first in 2026?

Contrary to Capitol folklore, the #CALeg clock cannot be stopped in even numbered year. #CAConstitution
The size and influence of the "Third House" of the Legislature is always on display during the final days of the legislative session. #lobbyists

Last thoughts for tonight (and a request): send an email to someone who has made your year or session better and let them know that they're appreciated. Because you never know.
And also... you know that, of all the nights, they will definitely be watching their inboxes tonight.
In lieu of a hard-to-find book from 1854, let me instead offer "How @QPageboy got nine digits" as well as some wickedly useful information on the chemical composition of pennies.
*Fun Fact addition to pg 73 #6: Pre-1982 pennies weigh 3.11 grams, whereas post-1982 zinc pennies weigh 2.5 grams. Less bouncy? Sure, but painfully dangerous to one’s fingers (or so I've been told)
