The former Delta Force operator who made it his life's work to track, identify, and hunt down human traffickers.
Jeff Tiegs spent more than 25 years in Army special operations, from Ranger private to Green Beret to Delta Force operator and troop commander, with combat in Panama, Iraq, and Afghanistan and a Silver Star for valor in Iraq.
After The Unit, he pointed the same hunt at a different enemy. Through Guardian Group and then Skull Games, the nonprofit he founded, veterans and analysts scrape ads, slang, emojis, and open-source networks to find women and children being sold and the people selling them.
The work runs on volunteer hunts and a Survivor-Hunter track that trains women who got out of the trade to work the intel beside the veterans. Early reporting on Skull Games credited the effort with freed victims, recovered missing children, and dozens of predator arrests, in both cities and small towns.
Tiegs has said he fought al-Qaeda, ISIS, and the Taliban, and that the people preying on girls are a worse enemy.

Yesterday, the release of Epstein court documents once again brought into sharp focus the horrifying reality of child sexual abuse. Our hearts go out to the young women who were coerced and forced into unimaginable situations by individuals in positions of power and wealth. (1/2)
In 1980, 7-year-old Anna Bachmeier was abducted, raped, and murdered by Klaus Grabowski, a convicted sex offender with numerous prior offenses against children.
In 1981, Grabowski claimed during his trial that the 7-year-old “had seduced” him, which enraged her mother.
On the third day of the trial, Marianne Bachmeier, Ana’s mother, took justice into her own hands, approached Grabowski from behind, and fired 7 shots, killing him instantly. Bachmeier said, “I did it for Ana.”
She served only 3 years for manslaughter and was then paroled.
The case sparked intense debate on vigilantism and the rule of law. In my opinion, the mother was a hero.
What do you think—vigilante, hero or both?

German #LawEnforcement have conducted some great cases to combat #ChildSexualAbuse.
But. #legislation there is stronger on #Copyright than protecting children.
Comprehensive EU laws would re-balance this. The need is clear from work by @SuojellaanLapsi
