Just very focused on matching outfits and sharing his thought behind them. This outfit will be given out to a kiwi in the livestream drawing! He said it probably won’t be for a Taodi but they can try if they want 😆

He had to spin the wheel three times to take pictures with the stuffed animals and he asked if these will be given out to Kiwis. The host was like of course we can do that since you asked and he was like, “okay, okay, okay, then gift them all. I’ll cover the cost, thank you, thank you.” (they won’t make him do that)
Before taking the photo, the host said he had to decide on a mood for the photo.
🐱: “Ah? I have to decide on a mood? I have to decide on a mood to take a picture? Then…let me think…”
He ended up copying the mood/expression of the stuffed animals.
giraffe: expression of being out of the loop
sheep: happily sleepy
llama: alert like a human
(happy group photo at the end with the animals left out)

The host was talking about getting into “work-mode”
🐱: “For my concert a couple days ago, I didn’t treat it like it was work. I didn’t treat it like I’m going to work or I’m executing some work today, something has to be completed. Perhaps because of everything I’ve been through since the Nanjing stop, I’ve come to place particular importance on how I feel in the present moment.
I think the biggest difference between going to work and on personal time is that when at work, your personal identity gradually decreases. You might think about for what you’re doing this for or who you have to become, for a particular job or person. But holding concerts does not feel this way to me at all. When I hold a concert, I’m more relaxed, and I treat them like my family. I would try to let everyone feel my personal identity, the existence of me, Hou Minghao. So after a concert when I’m back home, I don’t feel like I’ve switched to a different identity.”

The host asks what he’s generally like at home—wants the most real answer.
🐱: “At home? The most real? Then I’ll be very detailed. When I first get in the door, I will take my phone out because my dog will definitely be waiting for me at the door. And I will film him with my phone to see if he greets me today. Clearly—not. Perhaps he comes over just to check, because he’s sometimes very perfunctory, really knows how to act. If he’s happy, he might just jump once. And I’d tell him to ‘bai bai’ or fetch me the toy, he’ll directly walk off. For him, greeting me is just a routine procedure.”
Host: “He’s like, hooman, enough, that’s about it!”
🐱: “I don’t think it’s that complex for him. He’s like, you’re here, I don’t seriously greet you or give you face, I just give you a simple greeting and leave. It’s just ‘bai lan’ (letting oneself rot, slacking off, not giving a care).
So I film him and he just walks away. And afterwards, since I live with my parents, I will chat with them about what’s going on lately. My parent would also come see my concerts so I will also chat with them about how I feel on the concert days. I feel this is all very relaxed state for me.
Of course, besides chatting with parents, it’s actually very comfortable when I’m spending time alone as well. For example, I can wear some lounge wear and lie on the vet comfortable couch or a soft rug. I might scroll on the phone, summarize recent events, or hug my dog and ‘bai lan’ while lying on the rug. It feels pretty nice to ‘bai lan’ once in a while.”

His answer made me think of what he said at H&M last year about getting outfit inspiration anywhere but from other people walking by 😆
🐱: “Since we’re talking about it, I don’t really consider myself someone who’s particularly good at putting together outfits. But I feel that when it comes to putting together outfits, you must be a completely independent individual in order to really have personal style. Because personal style is very hard to replicate. It’s really hard for me to say that I will imitate someone I saw today with a good outfit so that I can look better. I don’t think it’s like this.
But rather, I think his outfit is put together well today because it really suits him. You’d think his outfit, personality, and his entire person is one. I think that sense of unity is the most important thing. How you want to dress and what kind of person you want to become—I think it exists as one. So, you should first develop a sense of self—or, in other words, figure out the kind of person you want to be. It’s important not to blindly follow trends, but rather to stay true to your own inner voice. Once you have that as a starting point, it becomes much easier to choose outfits for yourself; after all, you’ll always feel most confident when you’re wearing something that makes you feel truly comfortable.”

Q: Where do you get your outfit inspiration from?
🐱: Everywhere, such as from sleeping. Really! Because when you’re sleeping you’d think about what you’ll wear the next day.
Q: Do you take note of good outfits from passerbys?
🐱: No no, I definitely won’t.
#HouMinghao 😆
It’s no surprise that he would personally address this.
🐱: “Let me address some of the questions—or perhaps the minor concerns—that you all might have. Regarding the Zhengzhou concert, at that moment, I was actually saying goodbye to my fans while descending on a lift platform. As I went down, I could vaguely sense the camera man circling around me, capturing the scene…
And when I lifted my head, I saw that he was lying on the floor. At the time, I was wondering why he was lying on the floor. When I took a closer look, I realized he might’ve gotten hurt. He’d accidentally fell to the ground. At that moment, I was also very surprised and shocked. I was very worried for this staff member. Later, I had someone from my team go inquire for the details of how he’s doing physically, and there were no big concerns besides some small bumps and dings. So, everyone does not need to worry too much.
Moving forward, we will do our utmost to ensure safety regarding the venue and its facilities. This commitment extends to everyone involved in the performances—including all staff members, both those in the spotlight and those working behind the scenes—as we strive to guarantee the safety of all.”

Watch his eyes widen as he learns that the “final present for Kiwis, one of a kind, strictly kept secret in front of the cameras,” is one which “Hou Minghao himself helped to create”. (He didn’t think it was drawing Taomei 8.0, right? 👀)
His first instinct was to show the camera the picture which is placed in the folded card bc he wants to prove it was just taken before the livestream. He was told that this was not allowed so he said he’ll comply and used words to convey what he originally wanted to by showing the picture.
When everyone in the comments says they wanted to see, the staff allowed him to.
🐱: “Ei? Didn’t you say showing them was not allowed? That’s just completely lacking in principles! Now I’m the one who doesn’t want everybody to see.”
Host: “Being a bit rebellious, young man.”
🐱: “Yes. I really wanted to earlier but now I don’t. But I’ll still show it. How about I cover up the face? I will cover up the face or the outfit. You guys pick. Let everybody choose. I can’t see the comments. It’s okay, then I’ll first cover up the face. Look! Everybody take a look. It’s this sweater on me. The same exact one. The pose is this. It’s a photo I just took.”
Host: “Everybody wants to see your facial expression, I feel. Is it in the comments?”
🐱: “But this facial expression…it’s a… Alright, have a look. After all, this is H&M’s livestream. If it were mine, then I’d be willful. Do you see it? (*closes it*) That’s enough, that’s enough.”

Replying to @Wonder_HMH
It’s not his highest selling magazine, but given kiwis only got 3 days notice at the end of the month after a packed month of events (music festival and concert tickets, drama wrap up, 5 new brand endorsements, 3 brand livestreams, new fad3away release) achieving this is truly amazing!!! (This is an achievement others need to prepare weeks for in advance)

hello? what is this about from dearirean? are you giving us another bathing ad? or no? 👀
there was a funny part where the host was trying to associate wearing these outfits to his concerts. saying how Kiwis often wear green but the brown, fuzzy jacket here also resembles a kiwi
he was like LOL then you can wear black bc it it’s the color of kiwi seeds! (he says what you wear to see him is not important, but it must be comfortable!)
"but if it's true love, it wouldn't be calculative
love does not envy, does not boast, does not seek its own interests
regardless of your response, it never ceases
you know, I truly love you
no one else could ever compare"
love how he ends the song with the same question he started with, "do you truly understand the meaning of 'only one'?" 🩷
