Awful news about the death of Bèla Tarr. Only serious cinephiles will be familiar with him, but at his best, he was on level with the likes of Kubrick & Scorsese. The 7 hour Satantango perhaps his crowning achievement. Werckmeister Harmonies & The Turin Horse splendid too.

Anyone who strangles anyone during sex is frankly as dangerous as they are fucking messed in the head.

If Callum Turner is indeed the new James Bond, good call. My personal choice too.

What to watch tonight? Black Swan or The Haunting? #halloween #letterboxd

There are many legit reasons to suggest not answering the door to those doing trick or treat. Religious reasons is not one of those. Hope this Halloween night, many ignored such moronic advice.

Going to finish Coe's Number 11, then move on to a little known novel called Pride and Prejudice. Next two reads sorted. #bookstore #books

Do refugees pay the licence fee? Probably not. Do British people who run charities & require help 24/7 to keep them going do? More than likely. The BBC have serious questions to answer as to why refugee charities were represented on the biggest show on UK TV. #CelebrityTraitors

Oh fuck the fuck off. Refugee charities! How dare they? Charity is meant to begin at home. The producers should have vetoed those choices from the get-go. That is traitorous to this country. Never should that be allowed to happen. #CelebrityTraitors

None of the finalists will see a big career boost. Maya may host a BBC or ITV show that'll flop like most her shows. Bash won't get exposure near as high. The singers peaked years ago. There are bigger Youtubers. Romesh won't be a 5m viewer host. #CelebrityTraitors

Oh fuck off. You're telling me these shower of cunts are the finalists. What a fucking letdown. #CelebrityTraitors

Poundland should have been renamed £1.50land. Going down the Poundworld route was never going to win them much favour.

Before Star Trek: TNG, Patrick Stewart, mainly a stage actor, was billed £2000 to fix a leaking window in his London home, which he didn't have. Then, advising he wouldn't like it, his agent offered him a short role in Wild Geese 2. Stewart's reply was "How much?" He got £2000.

£100 for energy is helpful and welcome, plus the warm home discount but would it have been better to have made it opt-in so that not all the 20m households got it. Surely Sam Fender doesn't need the help. #Budget2026

Obviously will see it when it arrives here but it is incredible how well #YouCanSeeEverything is doing at the American box office. All the flops & yet a 3 hour documentary of all things is schooling the industry. Oscar history bound?

Guy decided to have a full English instead of an Indian. Who are we to judge? Good first episode. #Adultery

#TheCelebrityTraitors could be a 20m+ rater next year if they get the casting spot on again. A battle to up the show each year but what about Kate Middleton for it?

Un Coeur En Hiver. Rewatched it late last night 15 years after first watching it while in uni. Thought it would have been a masterpiece second time round. Downgraded from v good to plain good at best. This project is so unpredictable. #LetterboxdFriday

#Netflix should give Pam Abdy & Michael De Luca any conditions they want. Making films like those that work (Weapons, One Battle After Another) may get them Oscars & the riskier swings (The Bride, Digger) will get vast streams because that's where the audience lies for them
