في خطوة تعزز حضور #العلا في البحث الفلكي والتعاون العلمي الدولي، شغّلت #منارة_العلا محطتين لمشروع LaserSETI، لتصبح العلا أول موقع للمشروع والوحيد في آسيا، وخامس مرصد تشغيلي عالميًا، ضمن شبكة ترصد الظواهر الضوئية العابرة وتدعم البحث وتبادل المعرفة العلمية.

Strengthening #AlUla’s contribution to astronomical research and international scientific collaboration, #AlUlaManara has commissioned two LaserSETI stations, making #AlUla the project’s first and only location in Asia and its fifth operational observatory worldwide. The stations join a global network monitoring transient optical phenomena and supporting scientific research and knowledge exchange.

The date palm has long been part of life in AlUla, carrying knowledge, skills and traditions passed down through generations, from date harvesting and palm-leaf weaving to dishes such as Haysa, traditional farmers' songs and the beat of the Zeer drum made from its trunk. On #InternationalDayOfIntangibleCulturalHeritage, we reflect on this living heritage, which the AlUla community continues to safeguard by passing down knowledge and practices across generations, reflecting the relationship between people and their land and forming part of #AlUla's cultural identity.
