I’m splurging on one item when I get my reparations check for chattel slavery. I might get one of those mink coats that can be floor or waist length. I could also finally get my 96 Impala SS.

One of my favorite regional culinary differences is the preparation of blue crabs. Deep South boils them and a Maryland steams them. After living on the east coast, I prefer steamed. I like J.O. seasoning more the Old Bay.

I like fish and spaghetti. I’m not a huge fan of fish and grits. People grow up eating different dishes.

One thing I love about the U.S.A. are the regional cultures and subcultures within the regions. I know people in South Carolina that have never had red rice but they cook some great chicken bog.

Debates over oxtails being soul food is another dumb ass internet convo.

I grew up in my Memphis (heavily Mississippi influenced) household eating oxtails. We cook them like you would neckbones or turkey necks. I consider them soul food.

The “Love During Lockup” series proves that people are willing to date inmates. Don’t spread this message to the masses tho. There are other pathways to prison abolition. 😂
