ELON MUSK OFFERED TO BUY HIS FATHER A CAR. HOW ABOUT A JEEP? BUT HIS ANSWER SURPRISED EVERYONE... "I WANT SOMETHING DECENT. I WANT A BENTLEY" — ERROL MUSK
Vlad asks Errol a simple question: your son is worth almost half a trillion dollars. does he help the family?
Errol starts with "I don't really need help. I'm self-supporting"
then he tells the story anyway
Elon suggested buying him a car. the first idea was a Tesla. but shipping one to South Africa, in Errol's words, the price was "astronomical", and there's no service where he lives
so the family comes back with a practical option:
"why don't you get a Jeep or something?"
"I don't want a Jeep. I want something decent"
"so what do you want?"
"I want a Bentley"
"so Elon said: sure. Bentley"
there's a Bentley Flying Spur in his garage now. he hasn't even put the number plates on
and the car is the small part
according to Errol, the family company pays every single woman in the family a monthly income. married ones get "a little bit of help". his ex-wife gets a monthly income too
when his medical bills came to almost a million and insurance covered 600,000, they paid the gap
his summary: "if you ask them, they help you. it's as simple as that"
now remember who's talking
this is the father Elon publicly called "a terrible human being". the one he said had done "almost every crime you can possibly think of"
and he's driving a Bentley his son paid for
for the record: this is Errol's version, from Errol's interview. nobody in the family has confirmed the details
but it shows something about money at this level that nobody puts on a Forbes list
a half-trillion net worth isn't one person's money. it's a whole family's payroll. ex-wives, siblings, a father he barely speaks to, all running on one balance sheet
you can cut someone out of your life. at Elon's level, you can't really cut them out of your money
the richest man on earth can say no to his father. he just didn't say no to the Bentley
Steve Jobs was worth over $200 million at 25. He paid his daughter $385 a month.
Her mother cleaned houses and went on welfare. The county had to sue him to pay it back.
In the video below, his daughter Lisa talks about growing up with him.
Jobs was 23 when she was born. He helped pick her name. Then he denied she was his.
A DNA test said he was the father. He told Time magazine that 28% of men in America could be.
The same year, Apple went public. He became one of the richest young men in the country.
He named a computer after her: the Apple Lisa. For years, he refused to admit it.
One day her mother was on the phone with him, sobbing, begging for money. Lisa, a little girl, took the phone and said: “Just give her some money.” Then she hung up.
Another time, her mother asked him for a house. He said yes. Then he bought one for himself.
At 14 she moved in with him. His condition: she couldn’t see her mother for six months.
Years later, he was dying of cancer. She sat by his bed.
“The thing he kept on saying is, ‘I owe you one, and I’m so sorry.’”
Did she forgive him?
“I think not at the time.”
“In many ways, yes.”
When her memoir came out, his widow and his sister released a statement: her story “differs dramatically from our memories.”
The case for Jobs: he was young, he came back, and he tried to make it right before he died.
The case for Lisa: a billionaire’s daughter shouldn’t have grown up on welfare.
He named a computer after her. He wouldn’t say she was his. On his deathbed, he said, “I owe you one.”
Was “I’m sorry” enough, or did it come 30 years too late?

Do końca myślał o innych.
Chwała bohaterom!
VIVIAN WILSON (ELON MUSK'S DAUGHTER) REMEMBERS FALLING OUT WITH HER FATHER AFTER SHE CAME OUT... ELON WAS HEARTBROKEN DURING THOSE YEARS. SO SHE WAS ASKED IF SHE FEELS ANYTHING FOR HIM
"no. I don't care"
then she laughed
"am I supposed to feel bad for him?"
Vivian is Elon's oldest living child. she came out as trans in 2020, at 16
two years later she went to court to change her name. in the petition she wrote that she no longer wished to be related to her biological father "in any way, shape or form"
Elon answered in 2024. on a livestream with Jordan Peterson he said his son was "dead, killed by the woke mind virus"
she found out from a text from her aunt. different time zone, she was asleep
"I remember waking up and just being like: not this again"
she texted her mom: "I'm going to go public. sorry"
her mom wrote back: "okay, I understand"
then she posted the line that went around the internet: "He doesn't know what I was like as a child because he quite simply wasn't there"
his ex Grimes, who lived with him through those years, says Elon was heartbroken
maybe he was
but his daughter says the distance didn't start in 2020. by her account, it started years before that
the interviewer asked one last thing. is there any part of her that wants to make peace?
"oh my god, no. that's not happening. my life is not a telenovela"
"no contact means no contact"
this is a man who can buy rockets, companies and whole social networks
and the one thing he can't buy is a phone call from his own kid
everyone has an opinion about who's right here
the one thing nobody can argue with: a son or daughter doesn't stop talking to a parent overnight

Ashley St. Clair also talks about Elon's involvement in politics in the new Musk documentary.
She shares stories about private conversations involving Brazil, Ron DeSantis and Donald Trump, along with her impressions of what was happening behind the scenes.
Some of these claims are interesting, especially when she discusses Elon's political influence and the people around him.
But how much of this is backed by evidence, and how much is simply her interpretation of events?
I'd like to hear Elon's side of these conversations too. There's always more to a story than one person's perspective.

Everyone commenting on the female pilot communicating with ATC needs to realize there are many situations that can cause panic, regardless of who the pilot is.
The pilot in this video is okay and landed safely. This plane did not go down. The pilot here was flying VFR in IFR conditions and disorientation caused an uncontrolled spin. ATC reminded this pilot of stall recovery procedures and helped him recover and land safely.
I don’t blame him for panicking. I’d be terrified, too.
The Learjet pilots had a totally different situation, and looking at the totality of circumstances available at this time, it seems there was nothing anyone could do.
Facing what could be your final moments while being able to communicate critical information and data to ATC regardless of inflection tone is tragically remarkable.
In 2013, a Zurich boutique refused to show a customer a $38,000 bag. The customer was Oprah Winfrey.
The bag was a Tom Ford crocodile handbag, locked in a case at a shop called Trois Pommes. Oprah asked to see it. The assistant told her it was too expensive for her and pointed her toward something cheaper.
Oprah didn't argue. She didn't say who she was. She left the store.
She told the story on Entertainment Tonight a few weeks later, and called it racism. Switzerland's tourism office apologised within days. The shop owner called it a misunderstanding: the assistant simply hadn't recognised her.
Oprah is worth about $3 billion. The bag was $38,000. That is one thousandth of one percent of her money.
