I have an announcement to make: at the end of June I'm leaving @ConnectingSci and changing careers to retrain as a rabbi. jewishnews.co.uk/top-jewish-…
There is no 'war on Christmas', and there are also no actual Muslims who want to prevent pet owners from walking their dogs, or pubs from serving alcohol. If you repeat misinformation like this you're either gullible or racist.
Here we go again 🎄
A reflection on the annual myth that #Muslims want to “ban #Christmas,” the respect #Islam has for #Jesus and #Mary and the real issues people face over the festive season.

My thoughts about this time of year:
In Va-yeilech, Joshua accepts from Moses an unimaginably challenging task.

I'm not exactly a leader of anything, but I was proud to be part of the background crowd at this solidarity event.
Faith leaders came together in solidarity outside Southport Mosque - mourning the loss of innocent children and condemning those who seek to use these awful events to divide communities.

I was involved in the very early design stages of this course, before I quit genomic education to train as a rabbi. There are really good people on board, and it's a great complement to other variant interpretation courses by virtue of being global and diverse. Recommended!

Ooh, fascinating study! I did a little bit of work with @technomatti which included interviewing autistic students about #TeamBasedLearning but it was very preliminary, and we were looking at a wide range of disabilities and neurodiversities. doi.org/10.29038/eejpl.2020.…

A fellow student is running this LJ online Seder and it's going to be absolutely brilliant. Very much recommended
An Online Seder is being held this year for all those who have recently converted, are in the process of converting, are on a Jewish learning journey or just want to find out more about Passover.

Not only is this article clear and well-referenced, it manages to make a case for active travel without any reference to moral panic about obeeeeeesity. Well done that doc!

I love this course, it's one of my favourite things I worked on in my previous job. It covers an astonishing amount of ground for an online course, including lots of really detailed case studies. Can't recommend it enough.

Look at this amazing dvar Torah by one of my classmates! I am so incredibly lucky that I get to study with people like Jennifer.
There is a Jewish tension between history as facts and experiencing history through memory.

As we begin to organise large-scale multi-country workshops across Africa I'm starting to see how using English as the primary mode of communications in most conferences & scientific meetings results to huge inequality. I now read emails in languages other than English language.
