Statement from REGIMENT’s CEO (@Entxurage) on the “Take Care of America’s Veterans Act.”
REGIMENT supports the intent behind the Take Care of America’s Veterans Act, but we can’t support the bill for several reasons.
This bill pays for those wins by cutting future disability compensation for tinnitus and sleep apnea, conditions tied directly to combat, and years spent in various environments during Military service.
That’s not reform… It’s not fair and it doesn’t make sense. We stand with @DAVHQ & @VFWHQ on this. Benefits that we EARNED as Veterans are not a budget line item to be traded away!
We’re calling on Congress to strip the PAYGO offset from this bill and fund the Major Richard Star Act the right way, without cutting the earned benefits of the Veterans who come after us. Pass the good stuff. Fix the bad stuff. But DO NOT ask disabled Veterans to pay for it.
You are not alone. REGIMENT has your six, and we will continue to advocate for the tens of thousands of Veterans that call REGIMENT home.

Seeing how disconnected people are from the financial situation for most Americans is astonishing. So many well off people saying its just a discpline and saving issue, while just ignoring the fact that like 60% of Americans live paycheck to paycheck and like 10% live in poverty.
Last night, Brown University and Rhode Island was subject to a terrible act. To the families of those that were lost, you have my condolences. To those injured, i hope for swift recovery. And to the scumbag who perpetrated this atrocity... There isnt a punishment severe enough

Holy - look at this.
Senator Rick Scott just disclosed trades more than a year late.
They were worth $26,000,000.
You did not read that wrong.
He traded millions on companies he legislated.
Unusual.
Just randomly lost power and got an email that it wont be back on till like 1 am. We havent had a storm in days...

I guess Girl Scouts is getting sued over heavy metal contamination in the cookies. Id better go get tested because I went through 3 boxes in a few days.
Why do people act so scummy? Especially to their family? Like bro, youre in the front yard. The entire neighborhood just heard you make your <7 yr old kids scared for their lives.
I head @Jeep is now putting ads in the infotainment screen every time the car is stopped. If this is legit, i hope every single Jeep with this feature gets totalled.
