Fifty shades of white
I knew things were bleak for the Republican Party but this is something else Yikes

People are *pissed*. It’s not about bipartisanship (or at least - keep that in your toolbox but this is not what people want to hear! Not on the left, nor on the right!)
House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries said that his party is “ready, willing and able to find bipartisan common ground” in order to work with Republicans on the ongoing affordability crisis. abcnews.visitlink.me/ymEF7Q

Bets are opened - will this person get a heavier sentence than the district councillor that recently got 2 1/2 years for having sex with a 13 year old?
Hong Kong's National Security Police have arrested a 34-year-old man suspected of importing seditious books for sale at local bookshops. • The man is reportedly a member of prisoner support group Migratory Bird 候鳥, which operates a retail shop named As One 如一 in Mong Kok

For the love of God, with who is such a message supposed to resonate? Those who came en mass to reject this iteration of the Republican Party are *fed up* and wage accountability and change. Not a bland kumbaya And those still on the right *hate* this rhetorics. Who is this for?
Hakeem Jeffries: “This is not a partisan moment. This is a patriotic moment. This is not a blue moment or a red moment. It’s a red, white and blue moment because American has won tonight."

Appreciate the control worked as designed but the French need a serious conversation about cybersecurity with Coolworld. Come the fuck on.
Cyberattack on France’s national blood service (EFS) via its refrigeration contractor Coolworld. Hackers reset freezers keeping blood donor samples at -30°C to a target of 110°C. The thing that stopped it from destructive impact was an on-call technician who noticed the temperatures going up. Frozen plasma intended for transfusion was stored there too. Fortunately nothing was destroyed. This was a cyberattack on a sensitive layer of healthcare. From frozen peas to boiling plasma in three weeks...?

Musk is such a dumbass. Has he ever considered why most large tech companies tend to sign a big cheque to both parties? He could have funded a nice libraire or an uni chair for half the price and gotten twice or three times the political capital he has now lol
Elon Musk moving to Texas to get away from Dems, becoming the biggest partisan megadonor in history, then spending around a half-billion dollars to have his own state go blue immediately in the next election — with data centers the top gov issue — is pretty impressive

It’s not because it’s correct to say that Republicans have been captured by a fascist movement that the opposite is true. No surprise that with argument like these the defeat has been so massive.

Yes and that’s why I don’t feel all that joyous. You know those “heartwarming” stories of anonymous people coming together to pay someone’s GoFundMe for cancer treatment? These are not feel good stories. Tonight’s blue wave is not a feel good story.
Do you realize how bad you have to govern for this to happen?

I’m serious when I say we need to look at these MAGA influencers the same way you’d look at a foreign adversary who is actively trying to destroy the democratic process in America. Functionally there’s no difference

I really hope Dems have a clear plan for what’s next: Epstein files, exiting the Iran war, re-establish abortion and trans rights, and undo the Great Beautiful Bill before it truly comes into effect in 2027. They can’t afford to drop the ball on any of that.
Tonight’s outcome isn’t about placing faith in Democrats or socialist principles; it’s about holding Republicans accountable for betraying their promises. All Republicans had to do was: 1. put Americans First 2. not start another war 3. prosecute sex traffickers

One the one hand this is great of course. Finally a massive blue wave. But also - this is a reflection of how bad things have gotten to garner such a reaction. War, gas prices, inflation, corruption, DOGE. Som much senseless destruction in the last 2 years.
Huge night for Democrats • SC Senate win (first since 1998) • TX Senate win (first since 1993) • KS Senate win (first since 1939) • ME Senate win (first since 1988) • IA Senate win (first since 2008) • House majority projected at 255 • Senate majority projected at 55 Major rebuke of Trump policies from Iran war to tariffs to ICE to inflation to Russia

I wonder what the current blue wave means for Barry Weiss and co. Some conservative thoughts that Trump politics were becoming mainstream or just waiting to be given a space to soar. CBS has been cratering and now this huge rejection. Now what?

Delightful to see most predictions come true in the US midterm election. Now all I hope is that the Dems understand the assignment and will hit the ground running from day one. Lots to undo, lots of accountability to bring to bear, and so much to rebuild and protect.

Dumber and Dumber but in one single person
Kid Rock on Abdul El-Sayed: This man very much is assimilated. You know who else assimilated? Those pieces of shit that flew those planes into our World Trade Centers. This is Islamic extremism. Bill Maher: The hijackers weren't here assimilated. They were from Saudi Arabia.

It’s fun (no sarcasm!) to see how different the reaction to the Vision Pro and the Duo have been even if in both case, these are good v1 products (hardware wise) with a very high price tag. (Or both niche category devices considering the market share of foldable)
might have accidentally written 5,000 words about why i love the iphone duo it's the first gadget that's made me smile everytime i pick it up in years so flaws be damned, i love this thing check it out! bgr.com/2302400/iphone-duo-r…

It could also be that $2000 is easier to justify than $3,500 - although I do suspect that at equal price, a phone is easier to justify because we just spend so much time with one. Any delight coming from there resonates much more than a “this is the future” VR headset.

Anyway glad that this launch seems to shake the mobile world a little in a good way. Curious to read the reviews of the new MacBook Pros now!

Even if this were true and achievable, so what? Isn’t it the exact playbook Republicans have been following for over a decade?
My biggest concern is that if there is a clean sweep by Democrats of the House, Senate and Presidency in 2028, they will: 1. Make DC and Puerto Rico states to gain a strong majority in the Senate. 2. Open the borders and legalize everyone living in America illegally to cement a permanent majority. 3. Increase the size of the Supreme Court to gain an immediate majority. This would result in America becoming a permanent one-party state and the end of democracy in any meaningful sense of the word. All that is needed to ensure this doesn’t happen is 51 Republican senators in 2029. That is why you should vote for Republican senators this election. Other reasons are irrelevant compared to this one.
