The job’s not done, neighbors! ✨ Lt. Gov Sabina Matos and I are working toward an affordability agenda that puts Providence’s working families first and we need you to make a plan to vote this election: early voting at City Hall is open now through Monday, November 2nd, or vote on Election Day: Tuesday, November 3rd. Together, we can build a Providence and a Rhode Island for all 🦋

Rep. Sam Azzinaro participated in a dedication ceremony today at the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter to honor Rhode Islanders who served during the Revolutionary War. As part of Rhode Island’s commemoration of America’s 250th anniversary, the RI250 Commission planted a Liberty Tree at the cemetery, as it has in each Rhode Island municipality. The Liberty Tree in the Veterans Memorial Cemetery was planted alongside special interpretive signage recognizing Rhode Island’s Revolutionary War heritage, including the state’s role in advancing American independence through the Act of Renunciation and the Bill of Rights. The Liberty Tree is a lasting tribute connecting the service of Revolutionary War veterans with generations of Rhode Islanders who have served our state and nation. The event was organized by @RISecState, chair of the Rhode Island Semiquincentennial (RI250) Commission. Joining House Veterans Affairs Committee Chairman Azzinaro were Brigadier General Kenneth Wisniewski, Rhode Island National Guard; @RIVetsDirector; Keith Stokes, Rhode Island Historian Laureate, and the Pawtuxet Rangers and Varnum’s Regiment.

Great discussion with @NewportDems about the stakes of this election! We discussed the work ahead to fight back against Trump’s chaos, cruelty, corruption, and rising costs. Let’s get out the vote!

For months, tenants at Charles Place Apartments have been organizing with the goal of improving their living conditions. After years of deplorable conditions, broken elevators, and neglect, our neighbors cannot afford to be ignored any longer. I’m proud to stand with the Charles Place Tenants Union and I call on Standard Communities to meet with their tenants and address their concerns. #SolidarityForever

Today's ribbon cutting at Frank D. Spaziano marks another milestone in modernizing Providence's school buildings and investing in the students who will shape our city's future. A safe, welcoming, and supportive environment is essential for learning - and today is a proud reminder of that. When we invest in our schools, we invest in our children, our neighborhoods and a stronger Providence.

The Republican-controlled board of elections shut down the 1 early voting site at North Carolina A&T University—a historically Black college—so students marched an hour to vote. CONGRATULATIONS TO THESE STUDENTS FOR FIGHTING BACK. WE MUST ALL DO THE SAME.

Senate President Lawson stands up for working Rhode Islanders, and today we showed up for her. Great to join our friends in labor to kick off a canvass supporting her re-election. Thank you to everyone spending their day making calls, knocking doors and helping bring this campaign across the finish line!

Conducted unannounced oversight of a regional ICE facility with @RepAuchincloss & @RepBeccaB.  We witnessed individuals held for processing, questioned ICE officials & pressed for more humane treatment.  I’ll keep pushing for an immigration system that reflects our values.

Today, I joined Association of State Democratic Chairs President Jane Kleeb, Rhode Island Democratic Party Chair Liz Beretta Perik, Senator Jack Reed, Johnston Mayor Joseph Polisena and Johnston's Democratic leaders to visit the Johnston Senior Center. Seniors are the fastest growing demographic in Rhode Island, and the Attorney General’s office must be prepared to defend seniors from unique threats and support aging with dignity. I'll be back for bingo!
