Excited to share our new paper in Ecology and Evolution! Drawing on queer lived experiences and scholarship, we outline six principles for queering EEB and call for a scientific practice that is more objective and accountable to the world it helps shape. doi.org/10.1002/ece3.73063
New paper out in Ecology Letters! We synthesize the active debate on how scientists define sex and show that no current definition is universally applicable or free of assumptions.

We need systemic change to #MakePollutersPay.
@ClumpedIsotopes breaks down #SB1497, the Polluter Pay Climate Cost Recovery Act, which would help fix the massive policy failure that allows oil companies to shirk responsibility for the damage they create.

Less than 20 years ago, the world was headed for a >4C warmer world by 2100. The amount of change that would occur under that much warming, that fast, was almost unimaginable and certainly unsurvivable for human civilization + a large percentage of the world's species. (thread)

I have a message for disabled grad students:
Don’t let them break you. I see you fighting to be here—in your seminars, in your committee defenses, in your emails with academic offices and administration. You’re not fighting alone, and I’m so damn proud to be fighting with you.
