To the politicians:
PLEASE listen to the voters.
They want ethical, competent government that keeps us all safe and delivers services efficiently and cost effectively.
Please serve them, not your own interests.
Please don’t take all our collective hope for a better SA away.

Whatever else you say about the ANC as they face historic losses this election, let it be known that this particular mighty liberation party accepted the will of the people. Despite have the might of the state behind them they have repeatedly conceded their losses. This is sadly rare on our continent and should be appreciated.
"We thank the people of South Africa for coming out and exercising their sacrosanct right to vote. Our democracy can only get stronger from participatory democracy. The ANC is watching the results as they come in and will have a final communique once every vote has been counted. We are a party that listens and reflects. We will continue to process the message that voters are sending to us."

I’m not Hellen Zille’s biggest fan, but when CPT was approaching Day Zero, she was washing in a waskom, just like everyone else. Yet bo Panyaza have the audacity to tell us they went to shower at a hotel during Joburgs water crisis The disconnect is unbelievable!

Genuine question: Do political parties poll their voters about which parties they should go into coalition with?
Or is it just about the personal preferences or beefs of the party leadership?
