NTV journalist Kitavi Mutua was bitten by a red spitting cobra at his home in Kitui two weeks ago.
The snake reportedly entered his house unnoticed and bit him while he was asleep. He immediately noticed the bite and was rushed to hospital, where he received anti-venom treatment, but unfortunately, it was unsuccessful.
He was later referred to Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH), where he was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Sadly, he passed away.
