2007 intern'l version of UNDRIP was watered down from 1994 version of UNDRIP-but it remains a higher intern'l standard than Canada's CANDRIP (Bill C-15) sec. 35 common law standards. Feds Action-Plan ignores UNDRIP Art. 18-we need 2 demand Band Councils/Chiefs Orgs implement it!

He is proposing assimilation by saying this as a provincial premier. The provinces are the nemesis of First Nations. @WabKinew is at direct odds with the First Nations people of Canada. He is stealing First Nations children into foster care while also stealing their resources.
Abolish the Indian Act. We have nothing to lose but our chains. We will, of course, need new legislation that is an interface between the Federal government and First Nations. And this MUST be created alongside Chiefs and First Nation governments every step of the way. But it is time to move past the era of this outdated, racist, and patriarchal legislation. I support Prime Minister Carney’s work to position Canada as a global leader in human rights and democracy. The Indian Act is inconsistent with achieving that vision. Our laws at home should reflect the values we champion around the world. It’s time for a relationship with First Nations people that reflects who we are as Canadians today, recognizes nationhood, and lives up to the true nature of reconciliation.

Please help this child. His family needs your support.
💔 My son Fajr needs 4 surgeries to correct a dental deformity. The total cost is $1,500, and the doctor has agreed to accept $500 each week. Please help me treat my son and relieve his pain. I can’t bear watching him suffer while I’m unable to afford his treatment. 🥺🙏

Why the fuck did Britain sit on this footage for 37 years
WATCH: Britain’s ITN has released ~4 hours of previously sealed 1989 Tiananmen footage — filmed by the team that smuggled the tapes out of China. The material, archived for ~35 years, includes a 2-hour crackdown compilation and 90 minutes of secretly filmed raw rushes from the days after, showing military trucks on Beijing streets, crowds, and the aftermath.

Please help these children and their family today. These kids deserve a good childhood.
My daughters, Amina and Tala, who should be enjoying their childhood at the age of roses and playing, are collecting paper and wood to light a fire due to the lack of gas. Whoever wants to help provide gas, please do: chuffed.org/project/170392-h…

His name was Al-Tayeb Al-Hadi Ahmed. He was 16 years old. Both his parents were dead. He was raising five younger siblings. He owed two measures of sesame and four sacks of sorghum. He went looking for work near the Sudanese-Egyptian border. He never came home. His final words to his siblings? “I forgive you, and I am pleased with you. Please forgive me, too.” Even as he lay dying, he worried about repaying the sesame he owed. Sixteen years old. Five younger siblings. A debt measured in sesame. This is what war and displacement have done to Sudan’s children. Robbed them of their childhoods, forced them to carry unimaginable burdens, and, in Al-Tayeb’s case, stolen their lives. May Allah grant him Jannah and protect the five children he leaves behind. Remember his name. Remember Sudan. #KeepEyesOnSudan #TalkAboutSudan
