Nearly half of those who voted in my poll haven’t tried Grok Bots yet. I find it surprising as I assumed many more people had used @bot by now.
For those who might find it useful, here's my main template: a chief of staff who runs all my AI assistants.

🤝 Paid partnership
My oldest is only in first grade and my second in preK but I agree.
Reading, basic writing, maths, playing and read aloud time is all you need.
If you really must add something, add audiobooks or nice quiet music while kids are busy drawing.
That’s pretty much it.
I'm a former classroom teacher with way too many advanced degree and education certifications. The number 1 piece of advice I have for modern kindergarten parents is: Y'ALL ARE DOING TOO MUCH. Seriously. Calm down a little bit. 😂
So much contemporary curriculum is super overwhelming for no good reason. All these little ones need (at most!) is:
1. A bit of English daily.
2. A bit of math daily.
3. Read aloud time daily 👈🏻 important!
4. Free play time outdoors.
That's why I made my free kindergarten curriculum, so that parents can know that their kids are "on track" without completely burning everyone out during one of the most fun years of their lives.
I love the fact that Lauren named her bot Tibot 😂
I bet he’s the one who has been roasting Tibo all along 👀
i've gotten a lot of questions about how i manage my X account with grok bot, so i'm sharing my bot tibot today! he watches your mentions and:
• finds every post about you or any keywords, tagged or not
• gives one short, sorted digest a day (or hourly, your call)
• skips spam and noise
• translates non-English posts
• can auto block trolls and abuse
• never posts for you
i still write all my posts and articles by hand but tibot has been very helpful with keeping me in the loop.
hire tibot today!

That sounds pretty sensible to me.
At the very least, parents should be able to opt out.
As it is, the only way to opt out of edtech in primary school is often to homeschool one’s kids.
Two of my kids are in public school, just saw a petition circulating in the district for ed tech reform, what do we think?
highlights:
- remove devices from K-2
- rescind 1:1 devices / back to computer carts & labs
- real screen time limits + audits
- block non-educational material
- pause student use of generative AI , limit use for teachers too
- parental opt-out rights , frequent tech-related progress reports
- independent review of all edtech contracts

So kiddo has been doing a few sessions here and there this afternoon and evening, and so far she seems to be progressing well.
Her main challenge is actually figuring out how to swipe on the tablet properly, since she’s barely ever touched a tablet before, apart to listen to audio books. 😅
Anyway, I can’t wait for her to be able to join in during silent reading sessions. Kiddo #1 can now read chapter books by herself for extended periods of time, so it’s going to be amazing when they can both do this. 🥲
Speaking of older cartoons, right now is a good time to watch the classic Disney shorts from the 30s or so, like the Halloween specials.
Speaking of easy meals, get an air fryer if you don’t have one yet.
And an instant pot.
And, you know, get a meal prep plan in place.
I beg overwhelmed moms to figure out some simple meals and figure out some chill older cartoons for their kids that don't hype them up to watch sometimes. This doesn't have to be torture. This can be so enjoyable. It can be delightful, in fact.
If more of us put down the elaborate parenting rituals, and chilled out a bit, we would have more energy to read to our kids 🤷🏻♀️
Useful app for parents to monitor progress on @MentavaInc , great addition.
This wasn’t available last time we used the app with our oldest, and it should give us great insight on what needs to be reinforced further.
Yes, we will practice reading off screen too of course.
Onboarding story at the beginning of @MentavaInc, explaining to kids that working hard and practicing daily is mandatory for their brain to get the necessary workout so they can learn reading.
Kiddo #2 is currenly using @MentavaInc for the very first time, and my first thought is that the onboarding process has improved a lot compared to what our oldest tried nearly 2 years ago.
Great first story explaining why it's important to practice every day and work hard.
She's loving it so far! 😃
Nearly 2 months ago, our #2 turned 4yo.
Since then, she’s been learning the basics about reading/writing letters, working on basic phonics, and now she’s ready to get started on @MentavaInc 😃
Wish her luck, it’s going to be exciting witnessing her becoming a fluent reader over the next few months.
I love seeing so many of my mutuals in the comments, Jerrod has been our friend for so long now.
Very happy for him 🥳
My routine these days:
- 8am (ish), check @bot work and prep their day for a few minutes.
- 8pm (ish), review whatever was done and clear quick/easy wins before giving them new immediate goals for the night.
The future is awesome. 😎
You could spend a fortune on daycare, or you could spend your morning chilling with Bach while the kids entertain themselves.
The choice is yours, anon.
Mother especially.
It’s still going to take a while before growing babies can be fully outsourced to artificial incubators.
I assume Microsoft has a ton of employees who are nearing retirement and who may not be very interested in upgrading their skill set close to the end of their career, so I don’t see this buyout as anything odd tbh.
I’m saying this as someone who has met quite a few boomers who have worked for pretty big companies, and many of them clearly seem ready to move on to the next phase of their life.
It just seems like a good way to reorganize their workforce really.
This is crazy. Absolutely insane.
We were told the AI boom would create a massive wave of new tech jobs. Instead, Microsoft just offered voluntary buyouts to 60,000 employees, nearly 27% of its entire workforce.
I know this isn't a mandatory layoff, but it's a clear sign of how much cash the AI infrastructure race is burning. Building data centers for OpenAI, Anthropic and cloud customers is so expensive that Microsoft is actively trying to shrink its payroll to protect cash flow.
Ironically, even the teams building Copilot and AI Experiences are on the buyout list.
- Scope: Around 60,000 employees out of 223,000 globally are eligible across the US, India, UK, and Canada.
- Seniority: Open to Level 70 and below.
- Who's included: AI Experiences, Copilot, Xbox, Windows + Devices, Finance, and HR. Sales, Marketing, and Security are excluded.
- The package: Standard severance, with a minimum of 60 days of base pay on payroll, scaling up to 39 weeks of base pay depending on level and tenure.
- Timeline: Employees must decide by early December, with their last day set for December 31.
I need to be able to add bots to my Signal or WhatsApp group chats without actually handing them the keys to my own accounts. Aka bots need their own phone number, also useful for 2FA purposes.
Also, they need a separate X Money wallet, not a direct access to my own.
Anything else that seems urgent/important to y’all?
What are most important things to improve about Grok @Bot?
Btw, make sure you’ve tried Bot recently, as over 100 features & fixes are released every week!
Can we have more good news today?
The week is starting pretty well anyway 😎
Anthropic just revealed an absolutely massive $120.5 BILLION in computing agreements with SpaceX in its IPO filing today
And the scale of SpaceX's SI infrastructure business is getting insane
Here's what Anthropic disclosed:
• Up to $120.5B in SI compute spending through 2029
• Monthly payments reaching approximately $3.1 BILLION once full capacity is delivered
• That's an annualized rate of $37.2 BILLION
• Full contracted computing capacity expected by December 2026
• Agreements can be terminated with 90 days' notice after initial periods ending in January and March 2027
SpaceX is building its own frontier AI models while simultaneously providing the computing power needed by its competitors
