Gym done 👍 Back/Chest
At almost 55 I’m beginning to actually like what I see 😅hard work, daily habits & routines and being consistent with them all. What I put in and on my body, plus inner work too!
I still have a long way to go, but at least I’m getting there ✨
I was going to wait for the new month to start, but what’s the point. An experiment is an experiment 🤷🏻♀️ and I’m starting tonight!
I’ve decided to sit on the floor why you may ask? I spend every day stretching out my hip flexors, glutes, chest and the whole front of my body…… only to chill out at the end of the day on the sofa! So basically undoing all the good things I did earlier 🫣 The 2nd reason is, when I had my leg surgery, I fell 😱 and I couldn’t get up off of the floor.
As it’s an experiment I will note down any advantages or disadvantages of course 🙌🫶

Right then!!
“Ozempic vagina” 🫣 is it actually a real side effect of the drug? Or is it just what people are calling the loose/saggy look some get down there from losing fat really fast? (same idea as Ozempic face). Maybe 🤔 it is yet another symptom to add to all the other problems!
It’s like this 👇
“let’s produce a revolutionary weight loss drug, that has so many side effects that we can work with, more money in our coffers”
What a slimy smirk!!!!! He’s scaring people to stockpile because spending is down! 🤷🏻♀️This is how they control us!
Ladies, I’m the smallest I’ve been since a teenager! Drastically reduce your carbs and lift some heavy weights consistently 🙏🙏💕💕🌸🌸💪🫶
Ps don’t weigh yourself either 👍
Weight gain at menopause isn't just about age, and the fat goes somewhere specific. In a 4-year study that followed women through the menopausal transition with CT scans, all of them gained fat under the skin, but only the women who became postmenopausal gained visceral fat inside the abdomen. Their estradiol fell, their sleeping energy expenditure dropped more, and their fat burning fell by about a third. Falling estrogen lowers insulin sensitivity, which is why carbs a woman tolerated at 40 can work against her at 55, and why protein and lifting matter more than ever in this window.
Check out you’re own posture! You’ll either be surprised or horrified 🙏
How can I improve my posture when standing?
•Stand up straight and tall.
•Keep your shoulders back.
•Pull your stomach in.
•Put your weight mostly on the balls of your feet.
•Keep your head level.
•Let your arms hang down naturally at your sides.
•Keep your feet about shoulder-width apart.
I’ve added in some shoulder squeezes to make me more aware of that area when standing 😊
I’m determined to crack this 🤗

Here’s something we do in Tai Chi…….
Get a yoga block, a cardboard box or a book 📕 place it on top of your head and walk! Then walk backwards! If you grab someone to spot you, try it with your eyes closed. Please be safe 🫵
It’s excellent for posture work 👌 try to make the walk as fluid as possible!

Benefits of improving your posture!
Improving your posture has many benefits, and you will be surprised at some of them.
No 1 the correct posture position can improve your breathing. It allows you to open up your chest fully and increase your oxygen levels.
No 2 good posture allows for good blood flow. Which is essential to relieve symptoms of fatigue, by boosting your energy levels.
No 3 perfect posture = perfect digestion!
Because none of the abdomen is compressed by a slouching body!
No 4 perfect posture limits pressure on your joints especially in your back.
No 5 (and this is needed by me) a good posture can make you taller!! Having your body in the correct alignment will not only make you taller but you’ll look slimmer too. And this has the ‘knock on effect’ of boosting wellbeing and overall confidence. And gives you body awareness.
No 6 good posture can alleviate headaches! Having poor posture increases tension in the neck and shoulders leading to tension in that area, increasing the risk for headaches.
No 7 it improves your range of motion, by having good posture and balance in the body.
No 8 Good posture is a mini workout, it’s engaging muscles in the core, back, and chest, which can increase stability and balance.
No 9 Reduced TMJ pain (temporomandibular joint). When in a slouched position our jaw muscles get stressed and tense. Another reason for headaches.
No 10 perfect posture helps with our exercise form, therefore limiting risk of injuries.
Does anyone want to ‘re do’ the December posture challenge? I would be happy to repost it! Let me know in the comments 👌
If you have kids or grandkids? Can you please help me to spread the word 🙏🙏🙏🙏thank you 🙏🙏🙏
Tech/Text Neck!!!!!!!!!! 🚫🚫🚫
In today’s digital world, technology has become an integral part of our daily lives! The only thing is, is the position our heads are in!!! And it’s NOT good!
Tech neck is a real thing! and it’s also catastrophic!!! Are you worried about tech neck? Do you ever look at your children and think omg! If so stay tuned. It’s important we get on top of this NOW before it becomes a future problem!
Things to look out for;
Neck pains or stiffness
Rounded shoulders
Rounded back
Forward bend
Headaches
Back pain
Children and even adults are hunched over devices, be it desktops or tablets. Continuously holding our bodies in this abnormal position will eventually cause the weight of our heads, to impact our musculoskeletal system and cause long term health problems. Here’s a few examples of potential problems; spinal misalignment, headaches/migraines, reduced lung capacity and in severe cases degenerative changes to the spine, leading to arthritis and disc problems!
Prevention!!!!
Try to encourage holding tablets and phones at eye level. Whilst sitting or standing in an upright position.
Laying on your back or belly is another option.
Encourage regular activities away from tablets/phones to counterbalance screen use.
Remind kids to stand up straight and not slouch.
If you can, limit screen time! Set an alarm or timer.
Take several breaks.
Invest in ergonomics. Adjustable desks, tablet stands and posture vests.
It’s difficult to say what the future effects will be on children’s’ skeletal growth!! 🫣 so you should always encourage them to opt out of this head position whenever possible.
Also on top of all this, wearing blue blocking glasses in the evenings, will help them with better sleep. 👓👓
This post was encouraged by @CarnivoreKiwi 🙌I hope it helps??
Trying to figure out what’s changed recently??? As today, my eye sight is very good 👍 even reading the subtitles on a foreign drama 🧐 without glasses 👓 that’s new! Anyway the only thing I can think of is, I’m more consistent with my Glycine intake 🤔and on a quick delve it suggests it’s the “Glutathione” 🤷🏻♀️
Glycine is one of the essential amino acid required to build glutathione, and glutathione is a primary antioxidant that protects ocular and retinal tissues from free radicals 🤗✨✨✨
Yeah 👍 I’m wearing inside out! Who cares I CAN SEE 🙏
Did we instinctively know as kids, about our anterior chain? Or has growing up, meant we’ve opted for comfort because it’s easy? Whatever it is? Sitting in comfort for long periods has its disadvantages. Our bodies become tight and draw us forward, and in turn causes aches and pains in our chests, necks, hips and backs!! It also destroys our posture.
As a child, I spent most of my time like this 👇 and I use the position more often now as it’s a good one.
I’ll post some more positions over the coming weeks in the Posture Perfect community 🙏✨🌸
Happy Monochrome Monday.
