🚨 A NEW JERSEY DEPUTY ATTORNEY GENERAL HAS BEEN ARRESTED ON CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE MATERIAL CHARGES. AND HE WAS ARRESTED AT HIS HOME IN PENNSYLVANIA. Wait until you read what investigators say they found. Brian Richard Fitzgerald, 51, a deputy attorney general with the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office, was arrested Thursday morning at his home in Lower Makefield Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. The charges involve allegations of using artificial intelligence to create and distribute child sexual abuse material. But prosecutors allege something else. REAL CHILDREN. REAL ABUSE MATERIAL. According to the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office, investigators also discovered that Fitzgerald allegedly obtained and shared child sexual abuse material depicting the abuse of actual children. Not just AI-generated images. Material involving real victims. And this man worked in an office entrusted with upholding the law. Here’s what prosecutors disclosed. The investigation began after the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children forwarded a CyberTip involving an illicit image shared through Discord in July. Investigators traced digital records and IP addresses to Fitzgerald’s Pennsylvania residence. On October 15, detectives executed a search warrant. Prosecutors say they recovered AI-generation prompts, scripts, and Discord communications in which Fitzgerald allegedly acknowledged creating and sharing illicit images. Fitzgerald now faces THREE felony charges: • Possession of child sexual abuse material. • Dissemination of child sexual abuse material. • Criminal use of a communication facility. He was arraigned Thursday. Bail was set at $2 MILLION, with a 10% posting requirement. He was remanded to Bucks County Correctional Facility. And Bucks County District Attorney Joe Khan made the stakes clear: “No one is above the law, least of all someone entrusted with upholding it.” Now let’s talk about NEW JERSEY. Jennifer Davenport is New Jersey’s attorney general. Mikie Sherrill is the governor unfortunately for us.🤦🏼‍♀️ Fitzgerald worked for the state’s Attorney General’s Office. And according to Pennsylvania prosecutors, he lived in PENNSYLVANIA. That raises questions New Jersey officials should answer publicly. Was Fitzgerald subject to New Jersey’s public-employee residency requirement? If so, did he have an exemption? When did the Attorney General’s Office learn of this investigation? JENNIFER? What is his current employment status? Has he been suspended or terminated? And what steps are being taken to review any sensitive work or access he may have had? These are questions about oversight and public accountability. There is currently no evidence that Davenport or Sherrill participated in, knew about, or concealed Fitzgerald’s alleged conduct. And living in Pennsylvania does not automatically establish a residency-law violation. Exceptions exist. But the public deserves answers about an attorney entrusted with representing the State of New Jersey. Right Mikie? Especially when the allegations involve the sexual exploitation of children. Fitzgerald has been charged, not convicted. He is presumed innocent unless proven guilty. The alleged victims deserve protection, and the evidence deserves careful examination in court.
