Mission Statement of the Radix Community Council
Since 2013, when Dan Hughes first shared his ideas on Bitcointalk, the seeds of the Radix Community were planted. Dan proved himself to be a brilliant mind and a man of rare integrity in the crypto space. He dedicated more than a decade to tackling the blockchain trilemma of security, scalability, and decentralization - never hesitating to start from scratch if that was what it took to discover the right solution. His persistence, vision, and honesty earned the respect of all who followed his work.
Over the years, some community members have remained steadfast, others have moved on, and new ones have joined - yet the spirit of Radix has always endured. Today, in the wake of Dan’s passing, we as members of the Radix Community pledge to honor his vision and carry his work forward. Like Dan, we will take action - whether through small contributions like gifs, memes, and Reddit posts, or through ambitious projects such as developer resources and research initiatives.
The Radix Community will carry the torch of Dan’s legacy, spreading his vision of a scalable, secure, and decentralized future. We invite all who share this belief to stand with us and join Push 2.0, as together we build on the foundation Dan left for us.

📢 Ecosystem Update: @radixdlt + @kardsdotcards Integration
From February 4, Kards will integrate the Radix blockchain, enabling users to spend $hUSDC on @radixdlt using decentralized rails rather than centralized spending systems.
This marks an important milestone in on-chain usability:
• Users can spend stables like fiat, directly on chain
• Privacy-focused spending becomes a built-in experience
• Reduces reliance on centralized infrastructure
Many traditional crypto cards rely on centralized spending rails for decentralized assets. Kards changes that.
📅 Integration Start: February 4

Yesterday’s @radixdlt Hyperscale public test lead by @timanrebel exceeded expectations.
📈 Peak throughput surpassed 800,000 SPS under live, real-world conditions.
Why SPS matters:
•TPS counts transactions submitted
•SPS measures transactions actually executed and finalized
SPS reflects real network capacity, not theoretical input.
Key points:
• fully open, community-run test
• heterogeneous, non-sterile environment
• real cross-shard atomic execution
• horizontally scalable on modest hardware
This result demonstrates practical, decentralized scalability - not benchmark theater.
Hyperscale is not a lab concept.
It is operating infrastructure.
Results like these reinforce the depth of @fuserleer Dan Hughes’ original vision.
The architecture being validated today reflects ideas that were far ahead of their time - and his absence is still felt across the community ❤️

🚀 @radixdlt Hyperscale - Public Community Test lead by @timanrebel
Today, the Radix community is running a public Hyperscale test – the realization of a vision first articulated by Dan Hughes.
Dan believed this should be proven with the community, not behind closed doors.
This test was always meant to be:
•open
•community-driven
•transparently observable
📊 Current results exceed expectations, reaching ~700,000 SPS.
Why SPS matters:
•TPS measures transactions sent
•SPS measures transactions executed and finalized
SPS reflects real, usable throughput.
Today’s test demonstrates:
•community-led execution
•verifiable performance
•progress toward true decentralized scalability
This moment honors the vision that Radix should scale with its community, not around it.

🚀 Radix Hyperscale - Public Community Test (Today)
Today is an important day in Radix history.
The community is running a public Hyperscale test, open for everyone to observe - a milestone that reflects years of work, belief, and vision.
🎯 Target: ~500,000 SPS (Sharded Processing per Second)
Why SPS matters (in simple terms):
• TPS = how many transactions are sent
• SPS = how many transactions are actually executed and finalized
SPS shows real throughput, not theoretical capacity.
What makes today special:
• community-led execution
• transparent, open validation
• real proof of decentralized scalability
This Hyperscale architecture was part of a long-term vision laid out by Dan Hughes - scalable, predictable infrastructure built for real-world use, not demos.
Dan believed Radix could scale without sacrificing decentralization.
Today, the community is carrying that vision forward.
🕒 Start time: 15:00 UTC
📺 Live stream: youtube.com/live/dbGeiDHe8xc
📊 Dashboard: hyperscale.astrl.trade/dashb…
This isn’t just a test.
It’s proof that the vision is real.

Decentralization needs more than token votes - it needs coordination.
The community has proposed the @radixdlt Accountability Council (RAC) to help guide the transition to a fully community-led Radix in 2026.
Two consultations are now live:
• How large should the RAC be?
• Which nominees should fill the seats?
This council is designed to facilitate, not command - executing the community’s will and keeping the transition transparent and accountable.

🚀 Hyperscale Public Test Announcement
📅 Saturday, Jan 31
🕒 15:00 UTC
🎯 Target throughput: 500,000 TPS
This public test is an important milestone for Radix.
It will demonstrate:
• Parallel execution across shards
• Sustained high throughput under load
• A scalable architecture designed for real DeFi usage
• Performance without compromising security or decentralization
Unlike traditional blockchains that rely on sequential execution or constrained parallelism, Radix is designed to scale by design, not by workaround.
This test provides transparent, observable evidence of that approach in practice.

📢 Consultation now live: Defining eligible assets for governance snapshots
As Radix transitions toward a community-led model, we need clarity on how voting power is measured in consultations.
Unlike traditional governance, Radix must account for XRD actively used across DeFi - not just tokens sitting idle in accounts.
This consultation asks the community to define a “Safe List” of XRD-based positions that should count toward voting weight, including:
•Staked XRD (Top 100 or any validator)
•Liquid XRD
•XRD / LSUs in supported DEX pools
•XRD / LSUs supplied to lending markets
•XRD / LSUs in time-lock contracts
🗳 Format: Multi-select
✅ Threshold: Options with >60% support will be adopted
🗓 Deadline: Feb 4, 2026 (23:59 UTC)

Recent @radixdlt Hyperscale testing reached 563k SPS, reflecting continued progress by @timanrebel and the core development team.
For clarity:
•TPS measures finalized user transactions
•SPS measures execution throughput at the system level
SPS is a key indicator of scalability in highly parallel, multi-shard architectures. Achieving this level of execution throughput is notable not only within crypto, but also in broader distributed computing contexts.
Testing and iteration continue, with a clear focus on robustness and reproducibility.

As the Radix community continues to navigate a period of major transition, it’s worth recognising the individuals who stepped up when clarity was most needed.
I think many community members would like to thank @peachy_xrd for his initiative and commitment during a time of uncertainty.
While many were still processing the Foundation announcements and what they might mean for Radix, he focused on organisation, continuity of @radixdlt .
This kind of community-driven action is a strong signal of resilience and long-term belief in the network.

📢 Hyperscale update from Timan
@timanrebel from @radixdlt has just confirmed a major milestone in Hyperscale testing:
“500k+ in the pocket. Stable, and reproducible.”
Next steps:
•Private test with the testing group
•Structured onboarding via a Google Form
•Clear guides published in advance
•Sufficient time allocated for setup and troubleshooting
This marks a transition from stress-testing to planning and coordination of - an important phase for sustainable scaling.

Hyperscale update from Timan:
480k TPS achieved during latest internal testing.
Key insight:
•TPS is currently limited by transaction spam throughput, not shard count
•Increasing shards from 84 → 96 did not materially increase TPS
Next steps:
•Run another test with additional spam capacity (node or cores)
•Target: 500k+ TPS sustained, with safe margin
This highlights where real bottlenecks appear at extreme scale -
and how Hyperscale design is being validated under pressure.

Hyperscale update 🫡
The Radix Foundation is moving to a decentralized model, which means my role as Hyperscale Lead will end on February 4.
My priority for the coming weeks is twofold:
1/3
2025 was brutal for all.
Changing something I've invested years into is personally tough.
But leadership isn’t about holding onto a structure for the sake of it. It’s about making the hard, ethical choice that ensures the network thrives long-term.

The latest Hyperscale test ran on a mix of hardware. Data-centre grade VPS, home servers, & even a MacBook Air over WiFi.
The network hit 381k TPS. The MacBook ran out of disk.
Some things never change. But the protocol scales regardless of the hardware quirks plugged into it.
Merry Christmas @radixdlt fam!!! 🎄✨
Hope you’re having a warm, cozy holiday.
Step by step, block by block, let’s keep building and moving forward together 💙🩷

Timan has shared a new Hyperscale testing update with the community:
• 269k TPS achieved during an internal test (new internal record)
• Test scripts were rewritten to support multi-threading, improving throughput on AWS using fewer but more powerful nodes
• This marks the first test beyond 40 shards, which opens the path toward higher TPS ranges
• An unplanned migration from Hetzner to AWS caused delays, but significant progress was made over the past week
• A new private test is planned to validate this setup with a larger node group
These results reflect continued iteration and refinement of Hyperscale testing under real infrastructure constraints.

Hyperscale is back! 269k TPS during an internal test. A new record!
Rewriting the test scripts to multi-threading, to make use of fewer but more powerful nodes sending transactions, seems to be a good approach on AWS.
This is also the first time we moved beyond 40 shards, which opens the road to 500k TPS 🫡
The move from Hetzner to AWS was unexpected and led to some delays; however, I made significant progress in the last week.
Next up is a new private test to confirm this set up with a larger group of nodes 🦾
